- Welcome! - Yuki shouted when she opened the door.

- Hi! - Mon exclaimed and hugged the ginger, tight. When they separated, she looked around the place. - Wow, I love it. It's so nice. The flat looks so great. Now, it feels like a home.

- Well, when you came, we hadn't organized anything. Now, it looks like a home. And it's great.

- It really is. I'd like to have somewhere that feels like a home in the near future. My London flat is rented and I've never made it my own.

- Mon. - the ginger hugged her by her shoulders. - I think you will find the right place for you soon. I can feel it.

- How do you...

Mon couldn't finish her question when someone knocked on the door. Tee shouted from somewhere inside the house for Yuki to open and she shouted back that she was on her way, making Mon laugh. Those two would never change.

Yuki finally opened the door and Mon could see both Jim and Kate first, who went to hug the ginger one after the other. Then, Kate saw her and shouted her name, making the two of them go to hug her. Mon was focused on them, so she didn't pay attention to the voices that were speaking behind her friends. But, a few moments later, when she separated from Jim's hug, she saw Sam talking to Yuki. Her heart started going crazy when their eyes met for the first time in a week. She had missed the feeling she had when they looked at each other. Sam was not going to admit it at that moment, but the same butterflies were flying around her stomach. However, she only gave Mon a simple 'Hi'. The smaller woman was going to say something else, when someone interrupted in the room, breaking that moment between them.

- The food is here! - Tee exclaimed, carrying a huge food tray that smelt like heaven. - You could have come to help me. - she told her partner when she had left the food on the table.

- I was going at this moment. - Yuki tried to excuse herself, but it didn't work with Tee, who pretended to believe it.

- Anyway, I'm so happy to have you all here. - she went one by one, hugging all her friends, leaving Sam for last. - You better talk to her today. - she told the brunette, whispering so anyone else could listen to her.

- I will. - Sam answered, with the same tone of voice. Then, Tee broke the hug.

- All right, let's eat! - she said, pointing at the table, and making everyone sit around it.

Mon and Sam sat one in front of the other, both looking for the comfort of Yuki and Tee, respectively. That felt a bit weird for Kate and Jim, who were left at opposite sides of the table, thinking there was something off between them, but also knowing they couldn't bring up the topic because it would make things awkward between everyone there.

During dinner, as it was usual between them, they all talked about their current lives and what major news they had. In the conversation, Jim brought up that she had gone by a bookshop and had seen Mon's latest book as the best seller there, which made Mon really happy. They all knew about her work because she had told them about it before she stopped being in touch with them. It still made her sad about what she had done in the past, but it was nice seeing they still had her in mind after all that time. Related to the topic, Kate asked when would they be able to read the next book and Mon answered she was certain it was currently in the translation process, so it wouldn't take too long for them to read. That made Sam move uncomfortably into her chair and Tee smiled at that, still figuring out when her friend was going to tell Mon that she was the one translating the book.

What was also really common in those types of meetings, they ended up talking about their days in college. For better or worse, it was a period in their lives that brought them really important memories and it was normal they ended up speaking about it.
