Chapter 3

Location: Dining Hall

Cassandra POV

*RIIIINGGGG*

There goes the bell, it's time to head on to the dining hall. I fold over my sketchbook and put into my bag. I gather my things and start heading to the dining area. Hopefully I don't encounter that Damien guy along the way. But I do hope to see my two besties! They will be sitting with my siblings and I. I make it to the dining hall and spot Savannah first. 

Cassandra: "Savannah! Over here!" As I am trying to wave her down through the crowd I also spot Brianna. Savannah taps her shoulder and they both start heading my way. 

Savannah: "Hi girly!! It's so good to see you." She embraces me with a hug and allows Brianna to say hello as well. 

Brianna: "Hey miss ma'am, hope you're doing well!" She hugs me also and we start to head over to get ourselves some lunch. 

Mason: "Hello sis as well as the lovely ladies." He bows to us and hops in line alongside us. 

Celeste: "Hey guys." She says shyly while looking away from us. 

Brianna: "Celeste? What's wrong hun, I can see something is bugging you in those beautiful eyes of yours." Brianna says gently putting her hand on Celeste's cheek

We all turn around to hear what she has to say, curiosity and concern rippling through all of us. Celeste gazes up with tears glistening in her eyes. Instantly I rushed forward and hugged her tightly. 

Cassandra: "Tell me what or who made you so upset my dear sister, you know we don't like to see you like this." I say feeling her tremble

Celeste: "I was heading to class and I saw Neko and Lavender in front of me and I was hoping for no interaction between us but it happened. She told me I was an attention seeking whore for the way I looked today and I kept myself calm and collected but after the interaction it started to sink deeper and it hurt." She wipes the tears from her face and gave me a hug back. 

Mason: "Don't worry sis, we will take care of this. I was approached by Freya this morning but I brushed her off real quick." He hugs her as well

She stands up straight and shows to be a bit better. 

Celeste: "Thank you guys." She smiles

Brianna: "You know Celeste if you need me to, I can whoop their ass for you no problem just snap your fingers and I will do it!" She says with a playful tone

Savannah: "I'm sure you will Bri but we don't want to create bigger problems, but thanks for letting us know Celeste. We can confront her for you, if you like?" She smiles and places her hand on Celeste's shoulder. 

Celeste: "I'll think about it but thank you for the offer." 

We all nod our heads and grab our meals for lunch, we head over to a table and sit down. I start thinking of that Damien character and feel like I should say something to my siblings and friends about it. I finish my bite of food and clear my throat. 

Cassandra: "Hey guys, I got a odd encounter to tell you about." I look at them waiting for their attention. They all look up with a confused face. 

Cassandra: "So earlier when we were all heading to class, I was just about to enter my classroom when this guy approached me and asked for directions to his class. But what was weird is that there was other people next to him but he came to me. So I told him where he needs to go and he told me he hopes to see me around more often and winks. That was a dead give away that he was just flirting." 

I just look to see their faces and my friends were smiling from ear to ear with a twinkle in their eyes and my siblings were smiling as well but it was a oh snap kinda smile. Maybe I shouldn't have told them.

Savannah: "So did you catch his name?" She says giggling

Cassandra: "Yeah his name was Damien Usoro, it sounds familiar but I kinda just brushed the interaction off." I shrug my shoulders. 

They all dropped their jaws and lowered the voices. 

Mason: "Uh, sis that guy is Mr. Usoro's son for Usoro Modeling. The competitor to Woods Enterprise." He whispers.

I look at them in disbelief, you gotta be kidding me kind of disbelief. They all chuckle at my facial expression and I get red in the face. HOW COULD I HAVE NOT FIGURED THAT OUT SOONER!? I yell to myself. 

Celeste: "Speaking of that, hoping to see you around more often. Here he comes." 

I whip up my head to see Damien approaching our table. I just want to sneak away and die, what is going to happen now?
