I had no idea all of this would happen. As you now know, I decided to tell my parents about the engagement. I wanted them and everyone to know how much I care for you.
My parents flipped out. We had a huge fight, they called your mother and gave me an ultimatum. Break the engagement or join the Air Force and prove I am man enough to propose marriage. As you discovered at graduation, I have made my choice. I had no idea I would not see you or be able to talk to you again.
This is the key to a postbox in Austin where I will write to you and nobody can get to the letters besides you. I will write soon and give you my address. I am doing this for you, for us.
