His thoughts were interrupted by a soft knock at the door." That must be Tasha ,she said she would bring her PC over for a quick update. Come in!" shouted Nate busy trying to tidy up his side of the bed .This was the second time he had noticed Nate trying to impress Tasha since they got back to college .
It wasn't a secret to the other guys that he was into Tasha but everyone knew that the Latina was a force to be reckoned with .She spoke her mind and didn't care whose toes she stepped on and everyone was afraid of the death glare that she always gave to people when she just wasn't having the best day. My boy wants to get cuffed by the most intimidating girl on campus?
"Nate ,Jabari .Lets get this over and done with , I have an assignment to polish up and submit before 12 am .Come in Amani , we are going to be here a while " she said motioning for someone at the door to come in with a wave of her hand .And that's when he saw her .She had kept her eyes looking straight at their closet , even when she sat down on his bed .
"Amanithis is Nate, the guy you should look for when your PC is giving you hassles andthis is his roommate ,Jabari ,the captain of the soccer team and the only sweetguy you will ever find out here .But don't let that fool you , he loves theladies." Tasha added while helping herself to their stash of sodas in the fridge.Tasha had a real soft spot for him and he looked up to her for advice andrespected her character.
And that was when she turned for the first time since she had arrived and looked at him. Her brown beady eyes shone under the light of the room and he tried to take in all of her mesmerizing features all at once before she could look away.
"Hi ,Nate, Jabari .I'm T's new roommate " she spoke in a soft voice , so soft that Jabari thought he had imagined it but when she outstretched her hand for a fist bump he knew it was not in his head .It felt like he was in a trance and they were the only two people in the room and nothing but feeling her soft hand from the fist bump only mattered .She let out a small laugh when he completely missed her hand but on the second attempt he got it right .I honestly don't know whats going on right now but Amani is most certainly responsible for it and I will be damned if I let anyone take her away from me .
