I was at work at the local grocery store, working the checkout. I had a long line of people I needed to help before I could go home. I was excited to go home as well, today is me and my boyfriend's first anniversary together. He had told me the other day he had a few plans, but absolutely refused to even give me a hint. I love that man, but he can be a dick sometimes(/hj lmfao).

"Excuse me!?"

I was pulled out of my thoughts by a women yelling at me.

"Sorry miss, what do you need?"

I force a smile as I wait for her response.

"I just told you! Are you deaf or something!? What is my total?!"

"As I said, I'm very sorry miss. Your total comes to $35.69. Is there anything else?"

"Nothing from a f@g like you."

I froze when she said that. I had completely forgotten about the pride flag on my vest. She handed me her money and left with her items. I let out a sigh. I shouldn't let her ruin my mood, she is just a random lady with a stick up her ass. I continue with my day, until my shift is over. I rush to my car and drive home excitedly. And go in through the door, and am greeted with a tight hug from my boyfriend.

"Hello love!"

"Welcome home darling, how was your day?"

He smiles kindly at me. A force a smile in an attempt to forget what that lady had said.

"Oh, it was fine don't worry. What are we doing today?"

He frowns and wraps his arms around my waist.

"Now hold on. It doesn't sound like today was fine. Are you sure there is nothing you want to talk about?"

I kiss his cheek and look up at him.

"It fine hun, I just want to enjoy the rest of the day with you. Now, what's the surprise you have? You can't keel it a secret forever!"

He chuckles at how insistent I am about finding out what the surprise is. He takes my hand and leads me to the bedroom. There is a new suit that had been laid carefully on the bed. I look at my boyfriend confused.

"Put it on and get ready, we are going somewhere special tonight."

I playfully role my eyes and close the door as I get dressed. I decided to put on some eye liner and eyeshadow, and a pair of Shiney black shoes. I head to the front door to meet up with Bob. He has on a matching suit. He takes my hand and opens the passenger door of the car for me. I get in and Bob drives to a fancy looking restaurant.
