We both decided it was best to not go back to the agency. That friend of Karma's sure didn't like us one bit. I wonder why. That monstrosity of a thing, if it even was supposed to be something seemed to keep its eyes on me instead of targeting Sire. Did I do something to provoke it? Does it know who I am? Before it left, if seemed to give me a glare as if it said 'We'll meet again one day. But I'll make sure you won't get out uninjured. And you won't know when.' I never wanted to see that thing again. It looked like a literal monstrosity. Torn to shreds and put back together. They both seem to cause that headache when I look at them, unless my head can't choose whether it's real or not.
Aside from me and Sire keeping quiet for gods knows what on our mind, I just stared out the window. Wondering what we should do about Vain. A friend I've known ever since I got into the higher ranks. After probably close to 30 minutes of silence, I finally decided to speak up.
"Sire you think we should start planning how we should find Vain?" Sire gave me a stare. "You just remembered that we still need to check up on Vain? Jebus Christ Zy, you should really start to remember things earlier before it gets out of hand." I stood, walking towards the exit. "Sire, if you won't help me I'll just have to do this myself. Not my fault if you drop dead in battlefield." Sire mumbled something I couldn't understand. Damn people really wanna hide secrets now.
I quietly roamed the wasteland of this hellhole called Nevada, a place that just seems empty cause of all this chaos. I held my engineer mask in my hand, a pocket knife in the other incase of danger. Haven't seen Karma in a while now. Is that good or bad? Probably could be either one.
After a while of going back and fourth near the dock, I came up with a plan. If there's anything that could possibly kill me there, I just don't let my guard down and keep my knife and gun on hand. If there isn't, I can look for Vain. But if someone's coming, I could either stay hidden or fight. Depends on where I am though. If I'm near the bridge part of the dock, I can either hide under the bridge, which most likely is a bad idea, yet I can fight. Possibly getting the enemy in the water. And if I'm not near that bridge, it's best I probably fight since there's almost nowhere to hide. I decided to go with the plan I had in mind. Not like there were any other options I had. I put the engineer mask back on, my knife and gun drawn. This could go either really bad or really good. I hesitated for a moment, but it was best I find Vain before I drop dead without finding him.
"I'll find you, Vain Hawk. Dead or alive, I'll find you."
With that, I made my way to the dock. Either my death sentence or case to a missing friend.
