I sit on the floor next to a still unconscious Ren, who's resting on Icyhot's futon. His bloody clothes have been replaced with fresh ones. Apparently, Ren has been crashing at the Todoroki's place for quite awhile. I gaze into his unconscious face seeing his brow furrowed in slight discomfort.

Until he wakes up there's nothing anyone can really do to nullify his pain. "Come on, Ren, get up off your ass. I've seen you walk away from worse, so I know it takes more than this to keep you down for long. So hurry and wake the fuck up," I say in a low voice. Endeavor has been busy pouting in his training room, so it wasn't very hard to bring Ren inside without his knowledge.

Not that he could do or say much anyway without first, sounding like a dick, and second, Ren's not really in a position to listen to anyone right now. The door slides open and I glance up to watch Icyhot enter the room. "I called Aizawa, he said he'd send Recovery Girl over at first light."

I nod and he settles down across from me on Ren's left side. "You should go home and rest. You look tired."

"Coming from the bastard that was training instead of sleeping," I shoot back. When I called for someone to get their ass outside, Todoroki appeared almost immediately from around the side of the house, covered in sweat. He clearly couldn't sleep either, and instead spent his time training. When he laid eyes on Ren it was the first time I'd ever seen the half-and-half bastard smile.

I sigh and rub at my eyes before standing up. "I'm going to his apartment." He arches his snowy brow questioningly. "Why do you need to do that?"

"To go tell his family he's alive, and not dead in some ditch somewhere. Why the fuck else would I go, Icyhot?"

"Hmm. It's a bit late for a house call, but fine." He focuses back on Ren. It's her son, I'm sure she's awake and sitting by the phone, praying for it to ring. She needs to know that he's fine.

Something like this shouldn't wait till morning. "I'll be back." I leave the room, then the house, moving through the practically deserted streets of Yokohama City. I know I'm close when a enter a kind of dicey looking neighborhood. Lots of slightly run down shops and buildings.

Eventually, I arrive at the apartment complex, and head up the many stairs. Forgot it's a walk up. Figures. A couple dozen stairs later I, at long last, reach his apartment. I ring the door bell only for it to be busted. Well, I hope they really are awake, and can hear this. I knock on the door loudly, but not loud enough to disturb the other patrons.

Four minutes later the door is being yanked open, and a tired looking blonde is standing before me. Her smile lines are slightly pronounced showing her age, but she appears a little older than she should be. Which means Ren's description of her stressful hours aren't an exaggeration. This woman is extremely hardworking.

Her smile drops slightly, and I can see she wasn't expecting me, but was desperately hoping it was her son knocking on the door. "Um, h-how can I help you, young man?"

"I know it's late, but I came to talk to you about your son, Ren Todoroki." Fear flashes in her green orbs. "Is...? Is he okay?"

"He's safe now." She sighs and gestures me inside. "Please, come in." I nod and follow her over the threshold. I make sure to slip my shoes off, then set them near the door. "D-do I know you? You look familiar to me."

"I've never met you before now," I inform. She squints at me briefly before her eyes light up when the answer comes to mind. "You go to UA. I saw you on TV. You were... well, unforgettable," she chuckles nervously. I'm aware that my behavior during the Sports Festival wasn't too well received.
