Savannah Marie Cameron. Aka the younger fraternal twin sister of Sarah Cameron aka the forgotten child.

When people hear the name Cameron in the OBX, the following words come to mind: spoiled, brat, rich, kook.  But not for savannah. She didn't get anything growing up.

When she was 8, she thought that her sibling was treated the same way. She thought her father worked too much and just couldn't spend time with them. But In reality, he just didn't spend time with her.

Savannah realized that she was being ignored and neglected by age 10 she had to make her own food. Her family never made enough breakfast, lunch, or dinner for her. it was like she was invisible.

On her 13th birthday she watched her twin sister Sarah open presents and blow out candles. She watched her get her first phone. Savannah never got anything. Savannah just kind of lives vicariously through Sarah.

Savannah hadn't gotten anything for the past 13 years of her life except some new clothes every now and then. She's slept on the same bed under the same blanket since she was 6. Since her father had money, she has a pretty big bed for a 6-year-old, but it was kind of small for a 13-year-old.

When she would go to school. She would spend the day alone. She had no friends. But not because she didn't want any, but she was very protective and always stood up for herself, even if it was over the smallest thing. That was until somebody spread a rumor that she was messed up in the head.

They made it up because everyone else at the kook academy wasn't as "mean" to each other or the teachers. But she always said what was on her mind. Even if it was to a teacher.

She watched her sister and older brother Rafe talk and laugh with their friends.

She did hate being alone. She cried more than a 13-year-old should have. When 7th grade finally ended, she was happy. She didn't have to watch her Sarah be all happy. She could stay in her room and watch tv while she went out and hung out with their friends.

But like it was said before she hated being alone. She needed something to take her mind off of everything, so she went for a walk on the beach, and she saw some people surfing so she decided to make it her summer activity. She was going to teach herself to surf.

Now since she didn't have money cause her father ignored her and she couldn't ask, she couldn't buy or rent a surfboard so she figured she would ask people if she could borrow theirs and even asked some if they could teach her and surprisingly some said yes.

By the end of the summer, she knew how to surf. She also realized how much she loved the water. Anytime she needed some kind of escape she would go to the beach and stay in the ocean for as long as she needed.

When 8th grade came around, she had changed. Not just her personality but her mind set and her clothing choice.

She stopped letting what the kooks thought of her get to her. She stopped wearing makeup. Not like she liked it anyway. She stopped doing her hair cute all the time and started wearing it in a ponytail when in school.
