The Little Mermaid

It is in the month of July that fourteen year old Nagasumi Michichio finally was able to leave Summer School and go to the beach to visit his paternal grandmother in the Seto Inland Sea. The family after a long drive from Saitama had slept in a hotel in the City of Okayama which is a city close to the Seto Inland Sea and just a few miles away from the Kagawa Prefecture where Nagasumi's paternal grandma lives. Nagasumi and his family then got into their car as they had taken the Seto-Chūō Expressway to Kagawa prefecture where his paternal grandma lived.

Nagasumi Michichio: (asks tried) Are we there yet?

Mr. Michichio: (says with a smirk) Not yet kiddo, but I understand that you're tired of having to sit in the car for multiple days and hours.

Mrs. Michichio: (says with a smile) Darling, He's a very restless boy.

Mr. Michichio: (sighs) Sometimes I wish we could live here in Okayama city, that way we can live closer to Grandma and prevent ourselves from having to travel like this in order to see her.

Mrs. Michichio: (says with a smile) I wish for that too, but wouldn't that ruin the fun of going to the Seto Inland Sea on vacation?

Mr. Michichio: (says with a smirk) It might, but it would also make it possible for us to visit my mother more frequently, I mean we are her only family.

Mrs. Michichio: (says sad to her husband) Ever since your father died, she's been living there all by herself which is a pretty sad thing for her as an old lady.

Mr. Michichio: (says with a smile) I know, which is why I try to find a job in this city that I could do better with.

Mrs. Michichio: (says cheerfully) And I could try to find a school here that Nagasumi might like here, I mean the schools in this city from what I saw would be perfect to Nagasumi.

Nagasumi Michichio: (asks annoyed) Duh, what's wrong with the school I go to?

Mrs. Michichio: (says stern) Nagasumi, me and your father are both not comfortable with the school you currently go to.

Mr. Michichio: (says stern) Most of the friends you make at that school including that Hideyoshi Sarutobi boy tend to be a bad influence.

Nagasumi Michichio: (says pissed) I try to be good and I try to do my work, but it never is possible when you're stuck with people like him or Mawari.

The family then after that conversation continued to drive the Seto-Chūō Expressway and as they crossed it, Nagasumi then saw the vast glittering beauty of the Seto Inland sea as the surface of the inland sea reflected the rays of the Sun making it look like a sea covered with shinny minerals. Nagasumi seeing the Seto Inland Sea in its majestic beauty, realized that the Seto Inland Sea has a special kind of beauty. He had not seen a beautiful glittering Inland Sea like this since he was four and it was due to how expensive the trips from Saitama to here tend to be. 

Nagasumi then spotted something in the Inland sea and what he spotted looked like a beautiful fair-skinned girl with waist-length tan hair that has square bangs and light brown eyes swimming in the ocean. Nagasumi then stared at the girl as she was chilling in the ocean until she then later descended into the glittery water. Nagasumi watched the girl descend into the ocean and as he did he noticed a fish tail. The fish tail made Nagasumi feel afraid to swim in the Seto Inland Sea because something fishy lies beneath the surface of the ocean. However Nagasumi won't even go in that sea because he can't swim and if he can't swim then going into the ocean is a bad idea. 

Nagasumi's father noticed him looking at the Seto Inland Sea and this made him smile.

Mr. Michichio: (says with a sly smile) Somethin caught your eye?
