Part one
Chapter 1Monday 10:15 AM:'What time does your interview begin?'west crawford asked. She's a concerned friend of Raven hart, most consider her wry and ruthless but all that depends on her company.Raven reaches out to her phone
'one hour and fifteen minutes from now' Raven supplied with a quavering voice, not forgetting to pull her blanket over her head.crawford sauntered to her bed and seized the blanket off ravens warm and thick body.she felt the coldness of the room besiege her
'shouldn't you be bathing miss?'west asked, lifting her black eyebrow
'I'm not ready for an interview' Ravens voice sounding more unclear as she slowly got up crossing her legs and fixing her right hand on her cheek with her elbow strongly leaning on her thigh.
'Even oprah winfrey wouldn't be able to motivate you outta that bed but I'm sure cold ice water would look better on your body right now!' West teased and swung around
'I know how stubborn you are,if I don't get up you won't let me be.even Harry Randall Truman can't compete'Raven teased back, getting up from bed
'Is it really my stubbornness you're scared of,or water?I mean,if water could make you get outta bed so rapidly, what I mean is do you shower or you just stand across the shower(West ducked and expressed actions of terror)and let a few drop of water spill on you and duh, you're done' She giggled
'There is a difference between cold ice and warm water, but how would you know?'Raven retaliated,West grabbed the pillow and started hitting Raven with it,Raven ducked and screamed as this later resulted to giggles. West folded back the shutters, then opened the window. Rain hit her with no mercy, she managed to close the window after a massive feud with the wind. Raven was ontop of the bed witnessing everything, her eyes widened with horror. Raven sprant to west petrified'My dear friend, you love and care for me thank you!but you also know I can't go to the interview with such a strong storm.i can't stand water let alone rain!I'm diagnosed with aquaphobia you know that'
'Your water must be cold by now' she dragged Raven to the bathroom,Ravens lips knew no other word except "No!No!No!"all the way to the bathroom her voice creaky and unclear,West pushed her in and closed the door. Raven then understood that her friend won't give up,she undressed, donned in the bathtub.
West could hear Raven mourning, her heart sank each time she experienced Raven in pain of her past.
'I should save time for Raven by helping with an outfit for the interview, plus I have great taste when it comes to outfits' she thought to herself, opening Ravens waldrop. After a few moments of searching and scattering the whole room, complaining to herself how bad Ravens taste is,she finally bumped into an outfit which caught her blue eyes.
'This could do the trick' she added, staring enviously at a black dress with a brown jacket along it with only three buttons.the jacket was big enough to cover her and together with the dress.she wore a black hat,she put on her black heels.
'Now you're good to go!'West examined her best friend closely.handed her a black umbrella
'Catch you later!'Raven smiled and swung away
'Goodluck, she shouted!'Raven Hart clutched the brim of the old rain hat with both hands, pulling it down to protect her ears from the driving strong rain. She ducked under the leaky gutter that edged the old fashioned front porch and turned to look at the strong storm that was churning the usually serene little bay into a surging, pound cauldron
Not a boat moved on those waters, not a car moved on the main street either.she noted regretful of why she listened to West, but it was too late to turn now,the rain was causing damages everywhere.she was safe for now under the leaky gutter. Her long jacket couldn't keep her warm anymore, she felt the cold slowly getting to her. Her warm and thick body was shivering in less than a minute of standing under the porch. A minute more would freeze her to death, she thought to herselfSuddenly there was a brim of illumination indicating a car. Her hope of help had reached the maximum, the car packed right infront of the porch and beeped repeatedly, but she was now getting cold feelings. The owner opened the door and called out to her
'Let me help you don't worry, get in the car' He closed the door before the attempt of the rain to soak him in it became successful. Raven clasped her hand bag and umbrella and slid inside the car,her thin body miserably drenched, but Dawson george cared less
'I'm so grateful sir,I don't know what would've happened had you not helped me today' She placed her umbrella at the back of the seat and imprisoned her bag with her
'I'm glad I could help'Dawson said, looking uninterested and disturbed
'people like you are very scarce nowadays, you know.the last time someone as good as you was in this world it was jesus, ever since then we've only hypocrites' She seemed more interested in talking than being in a silent and awkward space.
'Are you in other words saying I'm jesus?'Dawson rolled his eyes straight to Raven,it was as if he was trying to pass a message his lips forbid.Raven whirled over to see the noble man next to her who was generous enough to save her life. He was tall, broad-shouldered,in a blue and white suit. Thick, dark hair, wrap-around sunglasses, hips twisted in honour and pride.Raven eyed him warily, oddly shaken. There was a powerful, primitive vitality about him,a raw maleness that was disturbing in it's intensity. She got lost in his breathe and eyes.
