I've had this dream once only. I remember it as clear as day because this was my first nightmare after moving to a new country. Funny thing is, it had no relation to moving—instead this imagery spiked because of a fear within me. A fear of dolls and specifically baby dolls plus them taking over the world.
Sleeping by myself in my own bedroom was new to me. Until that point, I would always sleep with my older siblings. But alas, they too had their own rooms. I slept on a double bed with dark pink bedsheets, pillows and a blanket to match. To my left was the window which shone the night sky and to my right was another double bed; empty.
Empty.
That's how my room felt like every time I was in there. It was too big but maybe because I was the youngest, they let me have it. Most of my stuffed toys, my Barbie dolls, baby dolls, etc. were placed to the right of the other double bed. Then lastly, a study desk against the wall. Definitely too big for a 6-7 y/old child.
I remembered sleeping peacefully that night; the sky outside was clear with the moon looking down on me. No lamp whatsoever; just the outside being my night light. I drifted off to a thought which led to a scary thought and another. I shifted around in my bed. Refusing to have my back faced to the right side of me, I always slept in the "soldier" position. Back position with my arms down. As long as you're fully under the blanket, that means you're safe, right?
Wrong.
I closed my eyes to a dark blue and black image in my head. It was storming outside and the heavy clouds were begging to rain down considering how dark and full they looked. I got out of my blanket and stood by the window. Looking through the cold glass, the houses in the distance and around us disappeared. Instead, they were replaced with silhouettes of trees and burnt down buildings. Shocked as I was, I was too scared to go check on my family and see if the rest of my home outside my door was safe. I felt so scared that I crawled back under my blanket and wished this was all a dream. To my surprise, I was met with a loud crash outside and a screechy scream so terrifying that my head shot up and looked out the window again.
"Wh-What was that...?" I asked myself.
I could not believe my eyes. The scene outside was different from a moment ago. Where did all those people come from? There were crowds upon crowds of chaos down below. Panic ran from outside my gate to the horizon. Dozens of people attempted to run from giant Dolls grabbing and tearing them apart like toys. As if us humans were the ones being horribly played with. Then I heard a loud boom and crash from behind me. I turned around to see my roof has been destroyed and staring at me was one of the Doll's beady eyes. I let out a shaky breath and shut my eyes once more. I slid down the wall and sat on the floor, curling into a ball and covering my ears.
"Please be a dream. Please be a dream." I repeated over and over.
Silence . . .
A few seconds after chanting my wish, it had become dead silent. I slowly opened my eyes to see my room intact and no one looking at me. Very slowly, I stood up and turned around to peek outside the window once more... There were only human bodies decorating the floor and all Dolls facing away from me. I stood very still and when I tried taking a step back into my bed, all the Dolls' necks turned a full 180 degrees and stared dead at me. Their pouty lips looked like a creepy smile. Their big blue eyes daring me to blink. And if I do, it will be the end of me...
end.

a/n:
Sadly, there was no proper ending to this nightmare. I woke up the next morning to my housekeeper telling me it was breakfast time. I never told my family about this dream knowing damn well they would just tease the hell out of me lol.
But, this was all because of the movie "Child's Play Chuckie" or whatever it's called. I'm scared to search up the name haha
Let's say my fear of dolls didn't fully disappear after all this time. They're just creepy af. And who the heck decided to make ones be able to eat, drink and pee???? Shit aint for me ma'am sir.
