Don Hall, a blonde teenage boy, and his ginger-haired brother, Hank Hall, were done with hockey practice. Don wasn't on the team by choice cause he was recommended by Hank to toughen up a bit due to his soft nature. He got out of the rink with a bruise on the cheek after being struck by a flying hockey puck.
"Well, didn't see that coming, but you did great, bro." Hank said to his younger brother. Don get an ice pack and placed it over his left cheek. "Don't mention it." He muttered.
"Keep this up, and maybe you'll be part brawl in no time." Hank boasted. But Don did not like the idea of rigorous training. Especially as superheroes, Hawk and Dove. Dove, a bird that symbolizes peace. And Don is the dove. While Hank is the hawk, symbolizing strength and boldness.
To Don, acting tough is hard. He could understand his brother is only doing this for their family. Growing up with a strict but also an understanding father, who is a judge, but who is also against vigilantism due to his law-bound personality.
Hank is not just his brother, but also his best friend. Everywhere the brothers go, the girls would have eyes on him. For their good looks. But he would always be seen as weak and gentle. In Don's beliefs, crimes should be stopped without anyone getting hurt. He only fights because he only cares for the safety of his brother and civilian lives. To him, redemption of those who did wrong is possible. Till this day, he was known as the "soft superhero."
Then one encounter would change his life forever. As the hockey players exit the rink. Don and Hank were the only ones left to be left behind to pack up. "Oh, the girls were gonna have a figure skating program. Heard a new transferred student is gonna practice." Hank mentioned.
"Oh, yeah. Thanks for the reminder, bro. I volunteered to guide the new student." Don said. Hank gave his brother a ruffle on his hair. "Wow, already you're going big. That's my little bro." Hank boasted again. Don grew annoyed that Hank still treated him like a kid.
"Dah, stop!" Don was taken aback. Then he saw a girl gracefully skating on the rink. Wearing a silver dress with diamond material to the top. Long brown hair.
The girl looked at him back, and smiled sweetly at him. Then she continued with her performance. Don felt captivated by her movements on ice. The way she feels happy to perform, the way she spins. It was a bump to his own heart.
Hank noticed this and decided to tease his younger brother. And waved his hand on front of his face. "Bro? Bro? Hello?! Are you even listening?" He then snapped his fingers. Then saw who Don was looking at. A smirk was curved on his face.
"Oh, oh! I see what's going on!" Don acted a bit dumbfounded to not be found out about his real emotions. "What are you talking about, Hank? The performance just caught my eye." Don denied.
"See how beautiful that girl is? I guess something good did come out after hockey. As your bro, my advise to you is to talk to her. Who knows? You might as well take her out on a date?"
