0.7: You Don't Have To Apologize. Sometimes Things Are Just The Way They Are...
YUMA POV
I sat at my window alone as I thought over everything. I left home with the task of finding out if there was a fourth wolfblood type. I fell unconscious, my conscious playing tricks on me I think. I couldn't have been really talking with Watanabe Enmei, could I ? Then I touched that weird object guarded by Akira & her pack.
Next thing I know, I was back where I started. I felt someone take a seat behind me. It also didn't help that my parents as human fosters couldn't come to see me, but I knew it was better this way. I wouldn't enjoy them being adamant to take me home against the isolation order. It was better I never put them through that pain.
I guess at some point I fell asleep. When I woke up I was in a beautiful clearing of the woods. It was clam & comfortable. Felt as close to home as I was going to get at the moment. I noticed him the second he appeared beside me. "Watanabe Enmei ?" I asked as I was confused on why I was seeing him once again.
"ユマさん、私を見てびっくりしましたか？ やめてください。" (Surprised to see me, Yuma ? Don't be.) I ignored his arrogant tone as I directed the conversation. "Why are you here again ? Is this a habit of yours ?" Enmei simply laughed. There was a hint of pain to it, but I could tell that he was trying to hide it well.
Enmei rested a hand on my shoulder, "I know things aren't ideal right now, Yuma. However this is only the beginning..." The beginning ? What did he mean ? "Is there something you're trying to say ?" Simple. It was a simple question of mine. Enmei seemed extremely guilty for some reason. He sighed deeply as he looked up at the moonless sky above us.
"ユマさん、本当にごめんなさい。 彼らは私のせいで孤立するのが最善だと決めました。" (I am deeply sorry, Yuma. They decided isolation was best because of me.) Honest. Enmei was being completely honest. No tricks. He wasn't trying to convince me of anything. He just said what was true. "You don't have to apologize. Sometimes things are just the way they are..."
Silence over took us for a while before I woke up by my window once again. The moon shined in the sky & all was quiet except for the subtle sound of my breathing.
