~It was the next day and Ariel was in a dress which she wished she wouldn't be in and inside a room, doing a job which she had loved and wanted to do all the time, ever since she was a kid. All happened so fast from yesterday to today but she didn't mind it. She loved the thrill of it all.
And it was having to go to bitches' houses and dig up information on them to find out if they're really betraying her CEO father or no. You can't trust no one really, when it comes to business. When it comes to money.
She was rummaging through the middle aged guy's work drawers as Casper went through the cabinets and wood shelfs. He didn't open his mouth and neither did she.
"You're the trouble of the family, hmm?", he questioned, keeping his voice eerily low. It made her feel things but she cleared her throat silently and replied, perplexed as to why and what made him ask that. "I don't quite get you?"
He smiles as she just then noticed a small dimple by the side of his left cheek. She immediately wanted to touch them. He was the perfect mix of hot and cute. "Well, I think you're one hell of a trouble for your family as you sneak out and..."
"Sneak out?" She replied with her eyes holding actual innocence. Until it didn't. "I saw you Ariel. That night. I saw you and pretended to not know you." She gulped as she spoke bold, or atleast tried her best to. She succeeded.
"Well, what about it?" She didn't question much on why he feigned about him not knowing her. "Ariel." She wanted to melt. "What-?" She questions and looks at him in the eye for once.
"I need you to be more aware of your surroundings and what's happening around you." What the actual fuck. He literally has been her bodyguard for one fucking day. That's all. "Why do you care so much?" And she immediately regrets.
He squints his eyes as he stops investigating the boring shelf and makes it interesting by leaning against it. Never had a bodyguard been this casual with her but she loved it. "Why wouldn't I? It's my job protecting you and I don't know how you managed to even sneak out." He states the obvious and she closes her eyes.
"Yeah. Right", his eyebrows lift and she reassures him. "Alright." His head bops to one side as his focus remains unwavered. "So, promise me you won't sneak out and go do... whatever you were doing." Her words were now caught up in her throat.
"What was I exactly doing now?", she asked in suspicion. She didn't try to mask her fear now. It was written all over her face that she was worried about this man infront of her ruining her life, all mentally by telling shit to her father and by living in her fantasies.
"I didn't see anything", he admits as he stood up straight after taking in her relieved expression. "though I was able to tell what could have happened." Her eyes closed, wanting the ground to swallow her in that very moment. Hearing no response, he continued, "I suppose, you were kissing someone?"
"How could you know for sure?" She asked as his brows furrowed. "For sure? No. I'm not sure but I could tell that cause of the way you looked. Hair messed up, once tucked in shirt out, eyes glossy, cheeks red, and specially your... lips", his eyes very much flicked to her lips as he spoke. But he didn't remove that gaze. She froze and felt conscious of every muscle in her body. "Your lipstick was all out of place, Ariel. How could one not assume you had not been kissing someone?"
She licked her lips and bit it as he looked away as if he realised what he was doing to her. "Okay fine. I did kiss someone. But that shirt getting tucked out? No. Nothing happened alright. And please". 'Why am I even begging? He's my bodyguard and he should do as I say.'
Nevertheless, she pleads. "Please don't tell my father about that." He walked over to her as she swallowed her saliva heavily. His gaze was strong and he just said, "Okay." Okay? We cool?
He goes back to searching as if this conversation never happened. She flinches slightly, as his voice reaches her eardrums again. "Promise?"
She remembers about that promise he asked about and she nods her head only for him to look at her with a stare. "Promise", she said to him this time. He was too intimatidating. She wished to fuck him there. Everyday. She wondered if he ever thinks of her like that too. She shuddered at that thought but suddenly a hand slipped behind her waist and pulled her back into a rock hard wall.
It was dark and she almost screamed but that scent. That scent was familiar as though she had known it for as long as she could remember. Oh fuck. It's Casper's.
