Pale sunlight shone through the curtains of Jaehyun's bedroom as a long knock was heard on his door. He squinted, looking around as the door opened, and a man in a tuxedo stepped inside. Jaehyun turned over in bed and watched as Xiaojun, his bodyguard, closed the door behind him.

Xiaojun averted his eyes from Jaehyun's half-naked form, sitting up in bed. He bowed slightly, "Sir, the news." He reached for the TV remote on the bedside table and turned the TV on, the 9 o'clock news flashing to life on the 80" inch screen.

The woman on the live broadcast spoke in English, "-today as another body was found dead right here in Aurora, New York. This is the eighth time so far, and the culprit still hasn't been apprehended. Specialists say that they haven't yet found a pattern as to who the killer picks as his victims and why. All they know at the moment is that the victims who were targeted all own or have previously owned insanely large sums of money at one point or were seriously bankrupt and in debt. Law enforcement knows that the killer has struck every Saturday of the week so far. Rest assured that the police are doing everything they can to catch, and-", the TV went dark as Xiaojun turned it back off.

Jaehyun sighed aloud, running his hand through his messy hair. Xiaojun's eyes turned stern. "Your father has summoned you to his study. Please get ready and meet him inside." He then turned on his heel and walked out, shutting the door behind him gently.

Jaehyun got up out of bed and made his way to the shower.
Here we go again, he thought. Something goes wrong, and I get the shitty end of the stick.

He snorted aloud. He really thinks I'm just gonna do every goddamn thing he wants me to do? Hell no. Never again.

He climbed into the shower, turning the temperature to the hottest it could go. He let the water run through his hair and down his back, setting his thoughts at ease. Never again, he thought. And that's a promise.

Jaehyun strode down the hallway, his bodyguard at his side as he made his way to his father's study, stopping in front of the door. He straightened his necktie before Xiaojun opened the door for him, and Jaehyun walked inside. His father was turned away from him, staring at his fishtank on the backwall. In his right hand, he held a wineglass, swishing around some red wine. Jaehyun stood in front of the desk, his hands clasped as Xiaojun shut the door behind him, on guard outside.

Jaehyun stood there, waiting.
His father, ignoring him, sat there silently watching his fish swim around in the tank.

Eventually, he slowly turned around, setting his wineglass down on his desk.
Slowly, he looked up at Jaehyun, meeting his eyes coldly. And when he spoke, his voice was low and menacing.
"Do you have ANY idea on what's happening outside? Do you even KNOW what kind of damage this is doing? Not only to me but to our family? To our livelihood?"

Jaehyun bowed his head, remaining silent.
His father sighed, looking away. "Jaehyun, I had too much trust in you. I practically gave my legacy to you. Everything I've worked so hard to accomplish was going to be yours. All you had to do was follow simple orders. That's all. But I now see that you couldn't even do that."
He snorted underneath his breath, "Incompetent."

Jaehyun still didn't say anything but clasped his hands in front of him tighter. His father reached for his wineglass, draining the remains. Once he finished it, he stared at it in his hand for a minute. Without a word or moment's hesitation, he threw the glass in Jaehyun's direction. Jaehyun didn't have time to react, but the glass luckily flew by and broke against the wall behind him. Jaehyun didn't even flinch. He was used to his father's uncontrollable bursts of anger.

His father sat back in his seat with a groan. "And this is why I've had to take certain measures." It was then Jaehyun looked up briefly, confused. Just then, the door opened, and a face he utterly dispised walked in.

His older brother, Johnny.

Johnny walked in with his hair slicked to perfection, his suit freshly pressed, tugging at the black latex gloves on his hands. He to took his place next to Jaehyun, giving him a devilish smirk before bowing deeply to their dad. Jaehyun fought the urge to open his mouth and say some smart-ass shit.

Of course Johnny would be here, he thought. Father wouldn't waste a second to rub what i couldn't do in my face.

Their dad looked in between the both of them for a minute before his gaze landed on Johnny. "Thank you for doing what your brother here couldn't."
Johnny nodded his head, "Of course father".
Their dad then looked over at Jaehyun, "To be honest, I'm debating on whether I should give you another chance or not."
Jaehyun gritted his teeth. He didn't need another chance. He just wanted his father to give up this stupid game of cat and mouse, ordering his own children to kill off people he didn't like. Jaehyun utterly despised it. Johnny, on the other hand, had no problem doing it. He was always looking for any possible moment available to do whatever their father ordered, to look good in his eyes.

Then there was Andy. Their little brother. Jaehyun shook his head. He'd die first before he'd let anything happen to Andy.

He looked over at Johnny, who was staring intensely at the ground. Jaehyun remembered once having the same love he had for Andy but for Johnny as well. He remembered ready to risk it all for Johnny and would die for him, as long as he would be safe. But that wasn't until when Jaehyun turned 20. Their father had announced that Jaehyun would be the one next in line for the legacy. For all the company assets.
And, Johnny blew his lid.

Jaehyun remembered clear as day when Johnny pulled a gun on him, aiming directly at his head.
He remembered Andy crying, telling them to break it up.
Andy running in between them.
A gunshot went off.
Blood.
Andy being rushed to the hospital.
Undergoing surgery.
The doctors telling them he wouldn't make it.
Their father telling him that Andy would be sent to Korea for better Healthcare and to be taken care of.

It's been five years now. And he still hasn't heard anything back from Andy, nor has he ever heard anyone mention him. Whenever Jaehyun tried to ask their dad about it, he would always remain silent and not say a word.

Their dad opened up one of the drawers on his desk and pulled out a photograph. "I have one more task for you. And all I'm asking is for you not to mess it up this time. You think you can manage it this time?"

Jaehyun narrowed is eyes. "What do you want me to do?" Their father beckoned Jaehyun closer. He hesitated for a brief moment before dropping the picture onto the desk, tapping it with his finger.
Jaehyun walked forward, glancing down at the photo. The photo was taken almost discreetly, without the person knowing. In the photo was a man with pink hair, wearing a sky blue shirt and an indigo bellflower by his side. Jaehyun stared at the photo intently before looking up.

His father met his gaze evenly before saying, "I want you to kill him".
