"Everyone have a good evening!" Daniel bid his last farewell to all your friends that you'd met over the years then turned to you, a smirk on his face. He'd spent the entire evening, which was meant to be a festive get together, marvelling at you and the tight dress you'd decided to wear. "Especially you, you're going to have an amazing evening...in fact, I think you're going to be on Santa's naughty list after tonight." He mumbled sultry in your ear so only you could hear.
You laughed nervously at his words, his raspy voice and gorgeous eyes making you go weak at the knees. He kissed your shoulder roughly making you moan and pull him off you before you got too hot and bothered. The current flush of emotions he was making you feel had already caused your cheeks to burn with a red hue.
You both bundled into your thick winter coats and scarfs, wrapping up warm for the short walk home. Even in Australia, which was usually a warm country, it had snowed this winter. As you walked home hand in hand with Daniel at a brisk pace you smiled at the glowing streets littered with white dust and sparkly ice. "It's bloody freezing!" your teeth chattered and Daniel wrapped his arm around you protectively. When you approached your front door he placed a kiss on your forehead and began fumbling around with the keys. Your heart glowed, to him it meant nothing but just that small gesture made you feel all warm inside. You looked at him in awe, it was a way for him to express how much he cared for you and you most definitely felt loved in this moment.
Once he'd successfully pushed the key into the lock and opened the door he looked back at you, a half sided grin forming on his face. "What?" He asked, chuckling at your bemused expression and stepped closer to you. "You. I love you." You said honestly, the words just tumbling from your lips as they had done for many years. "I love you too, darling." He said, looking down at your perfect face, your nose tainted pink from the cold. His hands travelled from where they rested on your shoulders and brought them to the scarf loosely wrapped around your neck. From there he pulled lightly on the knitted fabric to guide you in the right direction, but you knew what he wanted. Your cold lips collided with his own, but much to your delight his were warm, gliding over your soft skin and transferring the heat they held. You kissed him for a couple of minutes before you pulled away breathless and still shivering slightly.
