Third Person POV
Harry was heading on his way to the Great Hall. He couldn't believe he was back, nobody expected him to come back after the war, himself included.
He wasn't sure what to think of "New" Hogwarts. It had to be rebuilt after the war.
He just wanted to get the year over with, and then figure out what to do next. He turned one last corner before the Great Hall. Harry had been looking at the floor, not ahead of him, and he bumped someone. He suddenly fell to the floor.
"I'm sorry-" He began.
Harry looked up to see his life-long enemy, Draco Malfoy.
"You have glasses, pOtTaH. Can't you see where you're going?" Malfoy spat.
"Look, I'm trying to apologize, alright? Now, may I please have permission to go to the Great Hall?"
Harry stood up and tried to go around Draco, but didn't succeed, as Malfoy pulled him by his hair, clearly looking for trouble. Or a boyfriend. Either one.
Only a few minutes later, a huge fight broke out between them. Professor McGonagall turned the corner to see them fighting. At first glance, they appeared to be snogging.
Anyway, she was growing more and more tired of their fighting. It was expected, but it was only the first day. She proceeded to walk over to them, with a stern expression clinging to her face.
"Boys, stop this at once! It's only the first day back, and you have already begun? You are the oldest students in the school, I expect you to be examples to younger students. If this happens again, you both get punishment." She declared.
Her loud, clear voice startled the boys before her, who paused for a second, then apologized. Professor McGonagall then strode off to the Great Hall. As soon as she left, the boys broke into argument once again.
"This is your fault, pOtTaH. If you weren't so blind, none of this would have happened!" Draco spat.
"I apologized, alright? I hadn't meant to, I was just minding my own business. If you hadn't been so eagar to argue, we wouldn't be threatened by punishment!" Harry spat back, frustrated.
"Whatever, pOtTaH." Draco mumbled while walking away, purposely bumping into Harry as he went.
Harry hesitated for a moment before walking into the Great Hall. He noticed an extra table this year, which only contained Eight years, including his friends. Professor McGonagall was giving a speech, starting with honoring those who died in the War. This was a sensitive topic for Harry, and his friends knew this. As soon as he sat down, Ron and Hermione were at his side, comforting him as best as they could.
Over at the other end of the table, Pansy and Blaise were comforting Draco. This was an equally sensitive topic for him, since he was a Death Eater, and all.
"Correction. Ex- Death Eater." was what Pansy tried to convince him of. He took none of it.
Nobody, nor himself, could convince him that all those people who died, wasn't his fault. He looked up from his empty plate and noticed Harry staring at him, guilt washed over his face. What was that about?
Meanwhile, with Harry, he was minding his own business, looking around. The new Great Hall wasn't all that different. There were a lot more first years and students who came back then Harry had expected. There were also a considerable amount of Eight years as well.
He looked down at his plate, then looked up once again. His eyes wandered around the room and eventually landed on Draco Malfoy. He continued to stare, completely unaware that he was. He was spacing out. That's when emerald green met silver. They continued to look each other in the eyes till Harry looked away. He looked back down at his plate and started to eat before Hermione scolded him.
