It had been 4 years since I had last seen him. I don't know why old memories of us were still going through my head. I decided to leave Villahermosa 2 weeks after he had left me. He left without a single goodbye. He chose football over me. He said he loved me looking back at it now I see that it was all a lie. I spent weeks crying over him because he was the first boy I have ever loved and he hurt me truly.
Time has passed and I am now 23 and living in Mexico City. I enjoy my life now. I have an amazing job and I have my own apartment. I work in a bakery downtown and I work with my best friend Elizabeth. we enjoy our time together. She was there for me through everything especially when Diego decided to leave. I am better off without him I've accomplished so much without him by my side. My heart still aches for him though he will always hold a place in my heart even though he did end up hurting me.
I am now on my way to work. I decided to walk considering it's not that far from my apartment and I wasn't planning on going anywhere today afterward. Once I arrived I saw Elizabeth there already.
"Vaya queue llegaste temprano aun!" she jokingly said
"Siempre llego temprano tu eres la que siempre llegua trade..." I replied back laughing
"Ya callate mugrera" she replied laughing
We both then went back to getting ready to open the bakery for the day. She began getting the pastries ready while I began setting up the cash register. That's when I hear the door open. I look up and see our first customer of the day.
