y/n's point of view___

if there's a God, why is there a reason to have something as cruel as this?

The thought came like some sort of twisted metaphor. There was nothing I could do  other than stand in the midst of what I had no choice but to think of as hell.  A medallion in my hand.

There were no angels, but all my senses were still screaming at me for what seemed like the hundredth time tonight to be dead.

It felt the right time to die.

And God has gave me the token.

====

A tall man dressed in all black, hooded and covered entirely with shadows save for his dark eyes that pierced through my soul,  stared into mine with an unfathomable gaze that spoke without words.

He stood there for so long watching me that I thought that maybe I was hallucinating. But no, the feeling of someone staring directly into your very being was not something you'd wish upon yourself. That was when I finally realized that man will be my unending nightmare.

"I see you are aware of our existence." His voice was deep and low, sending shivers down my spine despite knowing full well it wouldn't reach my ears.

I'm a professional investigator  who has been working on solving murders since I was sixteen years old. In a matter of moments, he would have me believing my life is about to end while it will most likely go up in flames. Recently, men, women, and children have gone missing;  no one can find them nor their bodies.

This is all due to a demonic force and I'm afraid that I have caught it in myself.

This isn't just any ordinary crime. This is a crime that goes beyond human, something much more sinister and unknown.

It was as if I was frozen in place as a single tear escaped the corner of my eye, falling onto the floor beneath my feet as my body was left alone. I was completely vulnerable and at the mercy of the person who caused it. blood everywhere—in a place full of black and white  colors.

I'm in a place where no light exists—where no color exists either. And as far as my vision is concerned, no sound exists either. Only the cycle of mantras  over and over again, repeating itself endlessly. A chant that never ends. Prayers. My prayers.

"Are you going to kill me?" I asked calmly, even though my insides were boiling hot. My hands were clenched at my sides as I tried hard to keep myself composed.
He  took slow steps towards me, his shadow following closely behind. As I watched his every move, I couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking about.

"Why should I answer a question I already answered?" He replied coldly, his eyes boring into me like he was trying to see through me. The closer he is, the more I noticed his  features—which were hidden by the darkness.

He is attractive  in a way I haven't seen before. Like a  Greek statue made out of obsidian. His face was void of  emotion and his mouth was set into a permanent frown.  The only indication of humanity was his eyes. It was the color of the sky—dark grayish in color—with the slightest hint of blue at the bottom.
