On cabin 3907 of 3434 train to Bulgwang there was a tense atmosphere as everyone was keeping their distance from each other. The reason was simple, any minute their cabin could turn into a gladiator ground.
Klein stood at a corner while keeping a trained eye on every passenger. He took out his phone and searched the web 'the internet connection still exists, seems the creatures haven't gotten to those stations yet' he guessed. The first video he encountered since it was on the trending was a live of the prime minister giving a speech.
The others in the cabin had also started watching the live video "-Seoul and other areas of the country have come under attack by terrorists, we advice our citizens to stay calm. The Government has already issued the military to take care of these terrorists." The prime minister conveyed with shaky breath and balled fists.
'It would be more convincing if you weren't breaking down right in front of our eyes also which terrorist organization would have a flying Dokkaebi that can pop people like cherries' Klein lampooned.
"It's a level one national emergency I think we should get to the nearest military base quickly" said the teenager from before who seemed to have regained her bearings. She had mid length black hair and black eyes, her garment was quite eye catching as she wore a more loose deep blue Kimono crop top with black sport leggings that had some stripes of white.
The girl turned to walk towards Klein but at this time sounds of gunshot came from the phones.
The prime minister dead, laying in a pool of blood for all to see. Then came into the frame the Dokkaebi with his signature evil grin. "My my! So relaxed, is this some type of...GAME FOR YOU ALL?" He said and his voice continued to grow deeper.
"So be it, the people of this land are good at games from my information. Now now! Let's make it more thrilling keuhehehehe" the fuzz-ball monologued.
After that ominous laughter the panel in the air that showed 30 minutes changed to 10 minutes and the same change happened to the scenario info panels as well.
"Additionally since you all seem to have became so reclusive and are not trying to complete the scenario an incentive will be given" as he said that the twinkle appeared in his eyes again and he continued "in the next 5 minutes if at least one organism has not been killed all of you in this cabin will die!"
The panic, despair and hopelessness was almost tangible. It wasn't known who threw the first punch but soon chaos ensued. Everyone knew that they had to kill someone quickly so naturally the targets became the weak and it was the Lady with her child along with the old man that were dead last in this food chain.
Some had despair itched on their face with some tears in there as well while some had ferocious expressions, their frustration and helplessness had turned into anger and hatred and they had to take it out on someone. They all did the same, stomping down on the body of the woman who held her child in her embrace trying to protect the little thing and the old man who was trying to fend off his attackers with his cane to no avail.
Klein couldn't blame them it was after all a matter of survival, morality would take a backseat here.
But he still couldn't help feel disturbed 'what is the best course of action right now' he started thinking of ways to obtain the best outcome. As if to answer his question a panel popped up.
[You have received an exclusive attribute.] continued by [A skill slot has been unlocked.] after this the corners of the blue panel started looking a bit silvery.
'Really like a game...if I have an exclusive attribute then could this work?' In his head he said 'Attributes Window' and sure enough like all those novels he had read back in the modern era another panel appeared before him but this time it had even more silvery color take over the blue of the original.
