Chapter 1: Crime Scene

"Whoever did this wasn't playing around, they only wanted one thing. And that was the blood lust to kill." Officer Danielle said, sighing. Wondering who's out there doing this, who's out there killing innocent people, and this many at a times. This might've been the worst case he's gotten. Her partner comes up to talk to her and Officer Parker, "There's no leads, no witnesses. Even if they were, they're far gone, not looking back." "I wouldn't blame them." Officer Parker said.

The news anchor is now playing on the TV.

"Last night, October 15th 2023 5 teenagers were brutally murdered in the woods. If you saw anything, please come forward and you will remain anonymous.." The newslady says.

They don't really care. She turns her head to the side to get her coffee she ordered. "Thank you." She smiles lightly. The waitress nods and goes about her day.

"So on other cases we've received today, 2 children that ended up missing recently have now been found and brought back home." The anchor said. "I'd say that's pretty good news towards others we've been having, it's nice after discussing the last one." She scoffs and gets up with her coffee.

As she walks out the coffee shop, she's hit with the cold breeze and trains and cars honking. "HEY, GET OUT OF THE WAY!" A driver yelled out. She sips her coffee and starts walking down the street. The sidewalk is crowded today. More crowded then she's ever seen it before. Finishing off her coffee, she spots a trash can and throws her cup away. Putting her air pods in and playing some music in her ears; hoping this walk will end soon.

She bumps into someone with such force it knocks her down, an air pod fell out and starts frantically searching for the lost pod. "I'm sorry, are you okay?" A husky voice comes from behind her. "Damn it those are expensive. " She mutters to herself and sighs that she's never gonna find them. She stands up and dusts herself off and says; "yes I'm okay, thank you." He smiles at her and puts his hand out in front of her, "Hey, I'm Blade." He says putting his other free hand at the nape of his neck, looking slightly nervous. She puts her hand in his and shakes it. "Millie." She smiles back at him. She goes to release her hand from his and walk away but he tightens his hand around hers. She looks back at him slightly annoyed, "yes?" She asked. "Can I take you out some time?" "No." With that, she left.

She walks into the hotel she's staying at and is immediately greeted by the workers. "Hey Harley! We're glad to see you back!" She nods at them and smiles, what can she say, she has many names.

"Hey hey, HEY!" Her best friend says. "What Malakai?" She turns to him frustrated. "I need you right now." She sighs and turns to her sad best friend. "What's wrong Kai?" She says. "He broke up with me and confided in me that he cheated on me.." There was silence, she didn't know what to say. So instead of giving advice, she says, "Kai,-" she sighs.
