The warm sun peeks through the little cracks in the curtain. I stir awake from my deep sleep and let out a yawn. Last night was a horrible night of sleep for me.

Damien has been avoiding me for two weeks now. It's been killing me. All I did was ask him what it felt like when he inflicts pain on people, and now he won't talk to me.

Me moving in and marrying him was for me to feel safe and protected, and I don't feel that right now. I feel dark and alone.

At home, I'd usually have someone to talk to, but here I have no one. My brother isn't here, neither are my parents.

I sigh and stand up, pushing the warm comforter off of my body. A groan leaves my mouth as I do a large stretch, trying to wake myself up.

I slide on my bedroom slippers and pad downstairs. Damien is nowhere in sight, so I go into the kitchen and decide to make breakfast.

The fridge is full of groceries, groceries that weren't here last night. What time is it? I look over at the stove and see that it's 12:30 p.m. Which means Damien's at work.

So who went grocery shopping?

I hear the clearing of a throat and quickly grab a knife before turning around like lightning.
My dumbass brother and uncle are standing in the middle of the kitchen. I put a hand on my chest and breathe, setting the knife down.

"You scared the shit out of me, bitch." I breathe. Blade chuckles and steps toward me, reaching his arms out for a hug. I gladly accept the warm embrace.

He wraps his big arms around me and practically crushes me, "I missed you; you little Lunar Eclipse."

"Cant. breathe." I choke.

Blade legs me go and rubs the back of his neck, "Sorry about that kiddo."

My brother comes up behind me and taps my shoulder, I spin around, "What are you doing wearing no pants in the house with Damien?" he raises questions, raising a brow.

"This shirt literally goes down to my knees, Lessio. And besides, I don't plan on doing anything with Damien, that's weird." I chuckle nervously.

I'd like to.

"You better not. I'll kill him." he says shortly before storming off.

I look over to my Uncle Blade, "Where's Damien?" I inquire.

He grabs a grape out of the fruit bowl and pops it into his mouth, "A meeting, we're here to keep an eye on you."

"Keep an eye on me?" I laugh, "Good one"

He smiles at me and pats my head, "If only you knew."

As he grabs for another grape, I swipe up the bowl, he frowns, "Hey, I was eating those!"

I hide the bowl behind my back, "Give me answers and you get the grapes back. No answers, no grapes."

He sighs, "You know I can't."

"Then no grapes." I shrug, putting the grapes on the counter behind me.
