After sitting in the dark for a few minutes, I tried to feel around for a light switch. Nothing. I slowly walked around my room to see if there was anything to sit on, when suddenly I heard a startled grunt. The noise scared me and I just back and bolted to the corner. Whatever was in here with me, I could hear it moving around, possibly trying to stand up.

"Who are you?" A rugged voice asked.

"My name is Alice, my brother James trapped me in this place, and I don't know how to get out."

All of a sudden there was a click and a light turned on. Standing before me was a muscular man with a thick beard and deep blue eyes. He stalked over to me and held out his hand. I took hold of it and he shook it gruffly, nodding his head in satisfaction.

"The names Clark. It's a pleasure to meet you, Alice, even if it is under the current circumstances."

I blushed and looked at the door, wondering if James was still lurking around. As I pressed my ear to the door to listen, Clark tilted his head at me in confusion. I held my finger to my lips and gestured towards the doorknob. He bowed his head in understanding and kept quiet. After listening for a bit, I concluded it was clear and motioned for Clark to stand back so I could open the door. As he moved back, he stumbled into a night stand, causing a jar on it to fall and shatter against the concrete floor. I cringed at the noise and made a disapproving face towards the clumsy man. He apologized with his eyes and moved away from the table cautiously. I listened for outside noises once again, and was pleased to hear no one had overheard the crash.

Slowly turning the knob, I opened the door about an inch and peeked into the hall. I couldn't see anyone so I gave a thumbs up to Clark and we made our way out, tiptoeing around until we found a door with the words 'Private' written across it. Curiosity got the best of me and I opened it up, but surprisingly enough, it had nothing inside but a table with candles around it and an unusual red carving made in the center of the table. We walked further into the room and inspected the symbol more thoroughly. It looked somewhat like a rams head, with what seemed to be Latin words surrounding it. I touched the ram carving and all of a sudden it was as if I'd been transported to a different dimension. The light surrounding me was an eerie green, and there were thousands of books floating around. I spun around, taking in my surroundings. When I had turned around completely, there was a tall figure looming over me. It had glowing red eyes but I couldn't make out a face. I tried to back up, but I fell into another figure, this one with purple eyes. I started to panic, thinking they were going to rip me apart when the first one threw me over its shoulder and started walking into a room with murky puddles of black goop. As it carried me away I couldn't help but wonder what Clark was doing. I hope no one has found him.

After being lost in my thoughts, I was set down all of a sudden in front of a large chair I could only really describe as a throne. I looked back towards the creatures with confusion and they both motioned for me to sit. I did as I was supposed to, and as soon as I was seated, a new creature with blue eyes came in and placed a crown of bones upon my head. A staff with a green orb placed on top appeared within my grasp, and the creatures started to kneel at my feet. If I was assuming correctly, I would say they made me their ruler.
