I took a deep breath. “You look beautiful,” my mother kept saying. “So beautiful.” She smiled, looking at me in my dream wedding dress.
I smiled at her. “Mum, I’m nervous.” I held her hand.
My mum smoothed out my dress, touched my cheek, and replied, “Don’t be, darling. It’s your special day.” My dad nodded and smiled at me.
I smiled proudly at her and hugged her. As the bridesmaids did my makeup and hair, my heart raced faster and faster. I wasn’t allowed to see my husband-to-be until the wedding ceremony. My best friend, (your best friend’s name), walked into the room. “(Y/N)!” she exclaimed. “You look so perfect! More perfect than ever!” She hugged me. “Are you excited?!” she asked.
I nodded, wondering how my future spouse was doing. “I can barely wait anymore!” I exclaimed. I got up as the bridesmaids finished my hair. I twirled around in a circle, unable to wait anymore. “Come on, time! Come on!”

Everyone was sitting down on the seats already. Everything was perfect, just like I imagined. I smiled as I took my dad’s arm, the music starting. My dad and I walked forward on the nature path, under the rose-petal archway, and past the rows of benches filled with loving faces. I was spending my last few moments as his. We walked through the archway, Lux tossing flower petals behind me. Everything was like a dream as I walked past my relatives, my friends, and my mum. Finally, I made my way up. Louis, Liam, Zayn, and Harry all smiled at me. I smiled back and turned to face my one and only prince charming, Niall James Horan. He held out his hand. My dad took my hand and told Niall, “I’m handing one of my most precious blessings to you. Don’t hurt her and don’t ever leave her in the dark. She means nearly the world to me and I know she does to you too. From now on, it’s your job to protect her, support her, be there for her, and love her. You’re never to let her cry a single tear of pain because of ANYONE. Do you understand?”
I looked at him. One of my first loves, my protector, my saviour, my hero, my father. I smiled at him, nearly crying, then looked at Niall. “I understand,” Niall replied firmly. “I promise, swear, vow, and cross my heart, on my life, I will never let ANYONE, including myself, EVER hurt her again.”
My father took another look at him and slowly put my hand in his. Then he sat down. Niall smiled at me and led me forward. “You look perfect, babe,” he whispered in my ear as I stepped up. I blushed, smiling. The priest started the ceremony, and it finally came to our vows. Niall turned to me. “With this hand, I will lift your sorrows.” Niall raised his hand and continued, “Your cup will never empty, for I will be your wine.” With the raised hand, he poured the wine into two gold goblets.
It was my turn. I took a deep breath and started. “With this hand, I will lift your sorrows.” I raised my hand and took a gold goblet. “Your cup will never empty, for I will be your wine.” Niall and I took a sip of the wine and put the goblets down.
Niall took the rings from Lux and handed one to me. He held up a candle, lit it, and continued. “With this candle, I will light your way in darkness,” he put the candle on the candelabra and slipped the ring on my finger, “with this ring, I ask you to be mine.”
I smiled as I met Niall’s gaze and replied, “I do.”
The priest looked at Niall. “Do you, Niall James Horan, take (your full name) to be your lawfully wedded wife?”
Niall looked at me and finished, loud and clear, “I, Niall James Horan, take (your full name) to be my lawfully wedded wife.” He smiled, his eyes glistening in the sunlight.
“You may kiss the bride.”
Niall lifted the veil from my face. “I’ve always dreamed of this moment.” He leaned forward and pressed his lips on my mine. I put my arms around his neck as he put his around my waist. People cheered and clapped, threw flower petals, and congratulated us as we pulled apart. Niall held my hand as we looked at everyone. Lux ran up and hugged us. “And you guys live happily ever after! The end!” Niall and I laughed and nodded. The rest of the boys came up and hugged Niall and me, congratulating us. My friends came up and hugged me tightly. “I’m so happy for you, (Y/N!)” (Your best friend’s name) shrieked, laughing and jumping up and down.

After everyone had finished dinner and dessert, it was time for the dances. I danced with my father first. The song I’ve always wished for my father-daughter dance was played. (“I Loved Her First” by Heartland. I SUGGEST LISTENING TO IT RIGHT NOW!(: It’s a beautiful song♥ I cried. (;) After that dance, it was time for the couples. I beamed as Niall walked over to me. He took me in his arms, cradling me as “Truly, Madly, Deeply” started playing. Niall sang to me as we danced. “Truly, madly, deeply, I am foolishly, completely falling. And somehow you kicked all my walls in, so, baby, say you’ll always keep me truly, madly, crazy, deeply in love… with you.”
“In love… with you,” I echoed.
Then, we both sang. “I hope I’m not a casualty, hope you won’t get up and leave. Might not mean that much to you, but to me it’s everything… everything.”
After the song ended, Niall kissed me, long and passionate, as everyone “awwwed.” “I love you ever so much, (Y/N), my princess. You’re mine now, and I can finally tell it to everyone. I will never let ANYONE hurt you again. I’m sorry if sometimes I won’t fulfill all your needs, but I will try my very hardest for you. I’m probably not going to quote poetry, I probably can’t think about you every single second of my life, but I will give you all I have and I hope that will be enough. I’ll miss you when you’re not next to me, and I’ll love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t always exist… but there is always one guy who is perfect for you. And remember, he’ll always be here to take anything you give and give anything he has. Be it day or night, sickness or health, and pain or happiness. We’ll enjoy the day together, and sleep away the night together. We’ll take care of each other in sickness, and nurture each other in health. If it’s pain, we’ll go through it together. If it’s happiness we’ll share it with each other. Because I promise you’ll never be left alone. You’re never alone.” Niall whispered in my ear. “You’ll always be here…” Niall brought my hand over his chest to feel his beating heart. “I love you, (Y/N). Forever and always.
