It was almost Christmas and me and my sister Catalina always got together to make food and celebrate together.
My mother and father abandoned us when I was 5 and Cata was just 7 years old.
We got put into the system and would always get split up but eventually once we were in our teens we just ran away.
The system here in the states is ass and the homes they give you suck even more ass.
Plus you know damb well it will never stop because it's money,I never had a social worker actually care about me.
And it ain't like we needed there help me and my sister had each other and we would struggle but we would always survive.
My sister Cata was beautiful to bad she can never see it.
She has light brown skin beautiful big curly hair. She always gets asked where she's from and that always irritated her.
Because when she tells people we're chicanas everyone thinks we're puerto rican or colombian or even middle eastern.
I've even had people ask me if I'm fillipina.
It's interesting to get those reactions and comments from people.
But my sister has always hated it because she tells me we're to brown for white people and will never be accepted by the Mexicans.
I can understand why she says that but sometimes I wish she wasn't so negative.
Last year we went to Acapulco and it was fun until we got intoxicated and began to chat.
I don't think she remembers telling me she wished that she wasn't on earth anymore.
