Exploration of a red planet that is confirmed not to be Mars

Fae Horend is a scientist that was sent on a mission on a newly discovered red planet that was similar to Mars from the Milky Way. She was to explore and find out if there were any signs of life on this planet and wether it was a safe planet to live on considering weather and if the planet was structurally sound.

Fae, in fact, was very reluctant to be sent on this mission alone, but her office insisted on it. They kept insisting her that she was the 'most genius scientist in the century' and 'what could possibly go wrong in this perfectly safe mission?'.

Being pressured onto this mission, Fae gave up on her reluctance and accepted the job of scouting the red planet. Boarding her shuttle that would take her millions of light-years away from her home, she says her very last goodbyes. Her whole planet watched the take-off of her shuttle.

Little did she know that was the very last goodbye to her home planet. She knew what risks she was taking, but she wasn't expecting what truly is going on on that little innocent planet.

Once in space, Fae looks at her control panel. Pushing some buttons, she flipped a switch that started a device that teleported her immediately next to the unnamed red planet. She lurched from the sudden displacement, but regained her balance.

"Thankfully the teleportation device was created soon after people used those Flash-Drive Speeders. Too many accidents have happened where they crashed into a meteorite because everyone was too slow to process what happened, since Flash-Drive Speeders go faster than light." Fae muttered to herself, proud to be one of the scientists of the teleportation device which they named the QM-Teport, which was an acronym for Quantum Mechanics tele-porter but no one seemed to notice. That was fine, however.

Fae gently guides her small shuttle through the atmosphere of the red planet. While she landed the shuttle, she thought about what she should call this planet.

'Lil' red?' She thought, 'No, that was a joke. They'll probably name it after me. Something like Faed or... I don't know. I don't really care either, as long as it makes sense.'

She put on her protective suit that regulates the gravity and density of the air to suit her biological needs. She puts on her helmet and exits through the back doors.

"I honestly thought there would be more wind to this planet..." Fae muttered, taking out her scanner, scanning the atmosphere. "Let's see here... atmosphere is mostly made out of carbon dioxide. Not problematic. Slight bit of oxygen is also detected. Seems like there was ancient life here before."

Fae was tempted to take off her helmet to smell the fresh air, but stopped herself.

"Not yet," she murmured, "I still need to scan the dust particles and the ground."

Walking around and lifting her scanner, she scans the atmospheric dust which was flying around caressed by the gentle wind.

"These dust particles can irritate our lungs and eyes. That is not going to be easy to avoid. And the sunlight... it is more intense, but at least it can provide a source of energy. Skin shouldn't be exposed for too long. Good thing I didn't take off my helmet."

Fae squints her eyes to see to the distance where she spots a canyon, with a cave on its side.

"I can scan the internal structure from there. I should probably move my shuttle near the entrance." Fae said to herself, heading back to the shuttle.

Once she moved the shuttle, she went to the entrance of the cave mouth.

"Activating sonar radar."

Fae threw her radar that was shaped like a ball with intricate red glowing lines down the cave and waited until she couldn't hear it bouncing any longer. She pressed a button on a controller, activating the sonar scanning.
