Shuri's POV

"Go ahead." the woman said nonchalanty

Shuri wasn't sure whether she should trust her. She spoke a human language that wasn't English, for one. Shuri heavily suspected she was just a human trying to get vibranium.

"Where are you from?"

"Planet Oshaitha. In the Minx-Lavant System."

"No hesitation. That wasn't a lie." Shuri noted.

"What were you doing on the ship?" she continued, looking at the woman in the eyes

"Nothing. I was exiled." she replied, maintaining the eye contact.

Shuri narrowed her eyes. "Why?"

"Reasons..." the woman said, her jaw clenching.

Shuri gave the woman a once over. She was quite muscluar, and had multiple faint scars criss-crossing her arms. The most interesting, though, were the scars on her face. There was one oval shaped one on her left cheek, and three others running veritcally on her chin. They were almost like a pattern, similar to her cousin's scars. She couldn't help but wonder what caused them.

"What's your name?" she inquired, realizing she didn't know the woman's name.

"Wandia. Wandia Koga."

Shuri nodded "Do you have any powers or abilities?"

"Yeah."

"What are they?"

"How about I just show you."
Wandia hopped down from the table and stood up. She wasn't very tall, maybe about 5'5.

She took a deep breath "Okay, watch this."
In a wisp of blue smoke, she disappeared.

Shuri spun around, confused. "Where-?"

"Up here." a voice called.

Shuri looked up to see Wandia sitting on the second floor balcony, feet dangling off the edge. She waved.
"Hi."

She vanished from the balcony and reappeared in front of Shuri.

"Oh, and I can do this too" She opened her palm and a blue sphere of light materialized.

"Nice." Shuri said, midly impressed.

Shuri stood in front of the elders, stone faced.

"How do we know that this woman is actually what she says she is? " Mbaku asked sceptically.

"I checked her DNA while she was unconscious. It's not human at all" Shuri answered.

"And if she isn't, how do we know her fellow aliens will not come back for her? We do not want another situation like the one 6 years ago." the Merchant Tribe elder said

The other elders murmured in agreement.

"Bring the girl here, so that she may speak for herself." Mbaku ordered

Wandia's POV

Wandia was brought by the two bald spear-weilding women to a vast room.

There were five important looking people sitting in a semicircle, with Shuri standing in the center, in front of what looked like a throne. Wandia assumed they were some kind of representatives. She was led to the center. They were all looking at her warily, like she was a bomb about to explode

One of the people, a large, intimidating man, looked her up and down.

"Speak. Why are you here?" he asked her.

"I did not mean to be here." She answered. "I am clearly trespassing and I understand that you may not trust me."

"Why were you on that ship?"

"I was exiled by my people. My ship was passing this planet when the engines malfunctioned."
"I promise you, I mean no harm to your kingdom."

The man gave her a disdainful look and then spoke.

"The council will consider your case, Ms. Koga"
