3x06 Ariel

SCENE: Somewhere in the woods. Past. Snow White and Rafael are running from two of the Evil Queen's guards. They spot them and begin to chase them.

Guards: Hurry! After them! Stop!

Snow White: (They stop running when they reach the edge of a cliff) Uhh! Oh! Really?

Guard 1: You're a long way from home, Snow White and Raphael. Did you really think you could hide from the queen here?

Rafael: Actually, yes.

Guard 1: (As he and the second guard unsheathe their swords) Well, don't worry. We're here to take you back. The queen is eager to see you both again.

Snow White: Not gonna happen. (Goes to the edge of the cliff)

Guard 1: No, no, no! Wait! (Run towards the edge of the cliff to get them, but they jump off before they can catch them. The guards watch as Snow White and Raphael plummet into the water below with a splash. Transition to them underwater, drowning. A pair of arms grab them and bring them to the surface of the water. When they're pulled up to the surface they gasp for air. They swim around to face their savior)

Rafael: Thank you.

Ariel: No problem. You might wanna try diving in calmer waters next time. (Snow White and Raphael look down at the water and notices Ariel has a tail)

Snow White: You're a...

Ariel: Yeah. I'm a mermaid. My name's Ariel. (Transition to opening sequence)

SCENE: Neverland. Present. At a camp. Emma is standing in front of an unlit campfire, concentrating.

Regina: Focus. Concentrate.

Emma: It's kind of hard when you're talking in my ear.

Regina: And when the wind blows or it's raining, or... someone's shooting arrows at you. Yes, concentration's hard. That's the point. Find your anger and use it to focus.

Emma: No. There has to be a way without going dark.

Regina: You're such a pathetic waste of ability.

Emma: And you're a monster.

Regina: ...Smell that?

Emma: What?

Regina: Smoke. (Emma looks at the campfire, which has no lit)

David: (Sighs) This is a bad idea.

Mary Margaret: She has it in her. She should learn to use it. We just have to trust her.

Logan: Yeah, it's not Emma he doesn't trust. (Hook and Madeline enter)

Madeline: (To Mary Margaret, Logan, and David) We need to talk. Pan paid us a visit. He, uh... He told us that Neal and Olivia are alive, that they're on this very island.

Mary Margaret: Emma saw them. Neal was shot. He and Olivia fell through a portal. No one could survive that.

Hook: Well, they did, and now they're here. He said he took them from this very camp while we were off in their cave.

Logan: According to Pan, if he's telling the truth.

David: And, uh, why would he tell you two? What does he hope to gain?

Madeline: Who knows why he does anything? He has his reasons, but it's a sure bet they're not good ones.

Mary Margaret: They're telling the truth. Tracks... and a scuffle. Someone was here while we were gone. We have to tell her.
