"Run! Run for your lives!" Chris shouts as he wakes everyone up in the middle of the night causing everyone to run outside scrambling in a hurry seeing his new intern Dakota was blowing the air horn.
"Hi Dakota!" Sam says as he smiles at Dakota.
"Challenge time!" Chris shouts as he brings over a board.
"What!? Now?! In the middle of the night?! When it's all... you know... dark?" Brick asks.
"You're kidding right? It's the middle of the night. We should be sleeping." Alexis says as she gives an annoyed look.
"Nope. Not kidding. Your challenge! A scavenger hunt for three creepy souvenirs. Your locations? A haunted forest, a scary pet cemetery and an extra spook-tastic cave. First team to each location gets a special clue. But watch out for booby traps. I really went to town with them. So move fast and stick together! You'll be penalized for each player you lose." Chris says as everyone looks at the emblems on the board.
"Um what does the spider represent?" Cameron asks.
"Oh yeah. There's some kinda gigantic mutated spider sorta running around loose on the island." Chris says unworriedly.
"Giant spider?!" Cameron asks as the group murmurs.
"What's on the loose?!" Dakota asks as she messes with her ears from having blown the loud horn.
"This ought to be interesting." Alexis says as Zoey looks at her.
"You're not worried Alexis?" Zoey asks curiously.
"Not really. I mean yeah I don't like that the dark will make it hard to see but long as we're all together I don't see the reason to be afraid." Alexis says as she shrugs her shoulders.
"Huh. I admire that. But long as I'm with you I know I'm safe. We always have each other's back during challenges." Zoey says as she smiles at Alexis.
"Yeah. Always." Alexis says shyly.
"Hey is something on your mind? You seem a little distracted." Zoey says concernedly as Alexis blushes.
"Oh no. I'm okay. Just uh tired is all." Alexis says nervously.
"There's nothing to fear but mortal terror itself. Talk soon." Chris says as he blows an air horn as the groups begin running.
*Timeskip*
"Well, well, well... what do we have here?" Jo asks as the group finds the other team as they find a piece of paper in a bear trap.
"Hey find your own piece of paper." Lightning says annoyedly.
"Come on. Let the runts have their clue. I've got a plan." Jo says as the group leaves while following her.
"So what's your big plan?" Mike asks as the group stops.
"Yeah. If there's something we need to be looking for we should really be doing it." Alexis says as she crosses her arms.
"Oh relax. Here's what we're gonna do. Find a place to hide so we can follow the Rats and their clue to our first souvenir. Into that bush! Shh! They're coming!" Jo says as everyone painfully hides in a very thorny bush as the other team walks by.
"Inside a knot is a nest. Your souvenir lives with a pest. Find Polaris to travel northwest. Polaris is the North Star!" Dawn says.
"The North Star is right there so this way is northwest. There's a path!" Scott says as his team begins running.
"They're getting away! Come on!" Jo says as the group groans before Brick sticks his head out of the bush fearfully before he picks up the bush with the group inside and runs off.
*Timeskip*
"Gee heh maybe we should search for the object way over there with the rest of our team-mates? Cos it's not just the two of us." Sam says as the group finds him and Scott before the two walk off.
"Look. Team colors!" Cameron says as he points to a tree with colors painted on it.
"Which means that must be the next clue. We need to search it." Alexis says.
"Could be a trap. We should send in our most expendable player." Jo says as Brick walks over to her.
"This place is giving me the creeps." Alexis says as she is standing with Zoey.
"I get that. I know there's nothing to fear in the dark but still. Doesn't help the fact of feeling like we're being watched." Zoey says nervously.
"Don't worry Zoey. I wouldn't let something happen to you." Alexis says as she smiles at Zoey.
"Thanks Alexis. I'm just happy I know got friends like you, Mike and Cameron. Especially you. I feel like I can tell you anything without being judged." Zoey says as she smiles causing Alexis to blush.
"Yeah. Same here." Alexis says nervously as she blushes and smiles.
"Are you sure you're okay? You seem really bothered these past two weeks around me. Is there something wrong?" Zoey asks concernedly.
"No of course not. Uh just nervous about the challenge is all." Alexis says nervously.
"Well don't worry. I'm right here with you." Zoey says as she smiles reassuringly.
"Thanks Zoey." Alexis says as she smiles softly at Zoey.
"A key! This must be the first souvenir! Aah! Giant arachnid! Aah!" Cameron shouts as he gets a key from the tree only to fall with it seeing a spider on his hand.
"Sweet! Nice work Cam!" Mike says.
"Yeah. Good job. You okay though?" Alexis asks as she goes over to Cameron.
"I'm good." Cameron says as Alexis helps him up before noticing Zoey smiling at her and blushes.
