A/n: Hello! This is my first time compiling stories together, so I hope you like it! The pic above is the original for this story-as this is a rewrite-which was originally written for my English class lol

As I was sledding down a hill, I felt the ground tremble. Thinking it was just a small earthquake, I continued down the steep hill, making sure not to go too far off the trail that was popular among people who sped down Mt. Mlinor. The trembling came back quickly, slowly getting worse and worse; I could see the tall oaks shaking so hard their roots were visible and the rocks from uphill began breaking apart. Nervous, I stopped my small sleigh and hid behind a rock, looking back and forth between the two forests surrounding the hill that stretched all the way to the tip.

All of a sudden, the trembling stopped, and I slowly peeked out from behind the rock. Carefully placing my hands on top of the blue-grey surface, I raised myself slowly, only to be stopped in a crouching position as I noticed what had caused the immense shaking of the ground; a large black beast, with two swirling antlers perched on top of a shaggy, black coat. It's beady red eyes bored into mine until, finally, I glanced down at my sled and made a decision; I was going to sled down this hill and away from this monster.

I quickly hopped back onto my sled, making sure my hand was correctly placed underneath so I could make quicker turns without hurting myself. I sped down the hill, dodging trees left and right. As I dodged yet another tree, I could hear the beast roar so loud, it's seething anger could be felt in the tremors of the ground as it chased after me.

Suddenly, as if caused by this strange creature, my hand got caught underneath the sled. As I hopelessly tried to get it out, I didn't notice the large, sturdy oak I was flying straight towards. I slammed into the tree face-first, breaking my nose and causing a huge gush of blood to come pouring out of a large, seeping cut in my hand as it was yanked away from its stuck position. All I could see before I lost consciousness was those two beady eyes staring right into mine, and sharp, bladelike teeth that curled into an evil grin.
