Y/n immediately noticed. Flora has been dozing off, “Is there something wrong Flora?...” Y/n asked. Flora who immediately shake her head as a response and let out a giggle. “Nope! Your hand is just warm!” She replies. Y/n doesn't know how to respond to her comment.

"Come along with us, I am giving Ms. Kate a tour!" She said as she held Y/n's hand and started dragging him along with his Aunt back to the manor, "Okay so, what are you in your 9th grade or 10th?" Ms. Kate asked as she ran up the stairs with Y/n, "2nd," She responded. "Wow," She was amazed at Flora, "I could have skip a grade if I wanted to, but Ms. Jessel said I wasn't an exceptional student." She said as Y/n looked around as he listens to Flora. She lets go of Y/n's hand. "Wait, who's Ms. Jessel?" Ms. Kate asked. "It's her teacher, before you (obviously)." Y/n said as he muttered the last part quietly, his Aunt heard it as she shuffled his hair. "Ah— hey!" He ripped her hand of his hair.

"You know she taught me French." She added as she ran up the stairs, the two of them following her from behind, "She did?" Y/n fixed his hair and walk up the stairs following behind Flora. "Mhn, come on slow poke!" Flora said. "And this mirror is from the 1980s." Y/n looked at the huge extravagant mirror, 'It's very extravagant...' He thought as he looked at the painting beside the mirror. It was in a gold frame. "That's my great great great aunt alyziana and her dog!" She said as she points towards the painting.

( Note: I don't know If I spelled the name right and I can't spell the name of her dog as well— T ^ T )

Y/n listened well to Flora as he looked back at the huge painting beside the mirror. "And that's the ship her brother died on." She pointed both her fingers at the painting, 'Wow. That got dark quickly.' he thought as he followed behind Flora, "That's Miles Bedroom!" She said as she quickly moved on to the other parts.

---

Y/n followed Flora as she quickly moved past Miles' bedroom. "And this," she said, gesturing to a smaller door, "is the attic. We’re not really supposed to go in there, but..." She paused, her fingers lightly brushing the door handle, a mischievous grin forming on her face. "It's really cool inside."

Y/n hesitated. "Wait, why aren’t we supposed to go in there?" he asked, his voice cautious.

Flora just shrugged, the grin still plastered on her face. "Old stuff, forgotten things. Mrs. Grose says it's 'off limits,' but it’s probably just dusty and full of spiders." She giggled and skipped forward without opening the door. "Come on, let me show you the garden next!"

Y/n stole one more glance at the attic door, feeling a strange pull toward it before shaking off the feeling and following Flora.

As they made their way back down the grand staircase, Flora pointed out small details around the house—the chandelier that hadn’t been cleaned in ages, the family crest hanging on the wall, and a large clock that seemed to tick just a bit slower than normal. It all felt frozen in time.

When they reached the bottom of the stairs, Y/n noticed Mrs. Grose standing near the entrance to the kitchen, her eyes watching them with a warm but knowing gaze. "Enjoying the tour, Y/n?" she asked, her tone polite but with a hint of something deeper.

"Yeah, it's... different here," Y/n replied, glancing at Flora, who was still energetically bouncing around, pointing to things he hadn’t even noticed.

Mrs. Grose smiled, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes. "Yes, it’s a special place. Full of history... and memories."

Y/n felt a chill run down his spine at the way she said "memories," but he shrugged it off. "Thanks for the tour, Flora," he said, offering her a small smile.

Flora clapped her hands together. "You're welcome! I'll show you more tomorrow. There's so much you haven't seen yet. The lake, the old stables, and..." She trailed off, suddenly looking a bit distant. "Well, lots more."

"Sounds fun," Y/n said, though he couldn't help but wonder what Flora wasn't saying.

Just then, Kate appeared, looking refreshed. "Ah, there you are, Y/n! I see Flora’s been keeping you busy. How's it going so far?"

Y/n glanced at Flora, then back at his aunt. "It's... interesting. This place is huge."

Kate chuckled, nodding. "It sure is. Quite different from what we're used to, huh?"

Mrs. Grose interrupted with a gentle clearing of her throat. "Dinner will be served shortly. Why don't you all freshen up before the meal? Flora, can you help me set the table?"

Flora smiled brightly. "Of course, Mrs. Grose!" She gave Y/n a playful wave as she followed the older woman into the kitchen.

Y/n stood there for a moment, his mind swirling with all that he'd seen and heard during the tour. Something about the house—and Flora—didn't sit right with him. But he shook his head, dismissing the uneasy feeling. It was probably just the strangeness of being in a new place, surrounded by unfamiliar things.

He turned to his aunt. "I'm gonna head upstairs and wash up."

Kate nodded. "Alright, just don't get lost in this maze of a house!" she teased, giving him a nudge.

Y/n smiled faintly and made his way back up the stairs, his thoughts still lingering on Flora’s strange behavior and that attic door. As he reached the top of the stairs, he stopped in front of his room but found himself looking down the hallway, towards Miles' room and the attic.

With a sigh, he shook his head again, retreating into his room.

As he closed the door behind him, he couldn't shake the feeling that something—or someone—was watching him.
