I never thought i'd still be here when I turned twenty one, in fact, i didn't think i'd end up here in this small ass town at all if i'm being totally honest but shit happens and all that stuff.

You see, i've been here since I was seven when I was passed on to my uncle Felix under his protection after my parents died in sudden plane crash, the plane went into waters and was unable to be found.

My parents were in the same business as my uncle, my dad who is uncle Felix's brother, was also a CIA agent or I assumed, whilst my mom was a nurse. They were both apparently were out driving to work when it happened and no less than two days I was shipped off to Washington to Felix before piling into Saugabuck two months later and here I am.

"...Happy Birthday to you!"

I zoned back in to the sound of the few people around me singing, my eyes watching over them as they fuss and shout towards me.

"Make a wish!" Cassie shouts and whistles and I laugh shaking my head.

I think of a silly little wish before blowing out the candles and smiling towards my friends and carers.

"Thank you everyone, this is cute" I say as I toot on the birthday whistle with a giggle.

The small crowd consisted of my three best friends, Camila, Cassie and Tobias and the house chef Jolie, the house security men David and Thomas, of course my uncle wasn't here, he never really was lately.

We were all gathered in the dining area with a small cute cake below me on the table as we all gathered around with food. These people had been along side me since I arrive here in Saugatuck so they were always the same people on my birthday every year since I was eight.
