Perzoe One-Shot

Chapter 1

Percy Pov Outside Westover Hall

             I was chasing after the manticore trying to save the di Angelo kids. I knew I should have alerted Thalia or Annabeth, but I didn't know how much time we had before they were gone. Once I get the Angelo kids I stand facing it when I hear Thalia, Grover, and Annabeth coming my way. I see flashes of silver and hear a hunting horn. Dr. Thorn said, "This is not fair! Direct interference! It is against the Ancient Laws." And a voice replied," It is well within my domain to hunt beast like you."

          The manticore grabbed Annabeth and jumped off the cliff, and I was about to jump after them when someone tackled me down to the ground. And looking up I saw a pair of Onyx eyes looking into my sea-green ones

Timeskip: Zoe PoV. Washington D.C.

             Sitting at a Cafe at the aerospace museum I was thinking back about the prophecy.

                           Five shall go west to the goddess in chains

                          One shall be lost in the land without rain

                         The bane of Olympus shows the trail

                       Campers and Hunters combined prevail

                      The Titan's curse must one withstand

                   And one shall suffer by a parent's hand

     I knew the prophecy was talking about me, And that the General the manticore was talking about was my father, Atlas. As I mused in my thoughts, a green-eyed boy come running up to us, who I realized to be Perseus, and said that the General was there and that he used dragon teeth to make an army of spartoi. As we were talking, a roar resounded around the area, and I looked over to see the Nemean Lion

     After we were able to kill it by Perseus throwing some type of candy in its mouth, the lion's fur was all that remained. I told the boy to take it, and when I vehemently refused to take it. He went over to a trash can and burn it as an offering to Mylady Artemis.

Timeskip. Artemis PoV Mount Othrys

     As I was struggling to hold up the weight of the sky. Knowing I would be dead by now if not for the boy's sacrifice. I see the boy along with my lieutenant Zoe and my half-sister Thalia. I tried telling them not to come closer and that it was a trap, but it was too late. I watch as Thalia fights the traitor Luke, while Zoe and the boy fight Atlas. I watch in shock as they seem to be able to communicate easily with each other, and then I notice that Zoe doesn't have my blessing anymore. Realizing that she had fallen for Perseus. I don't blame her though, he has all of the qualities a male should have. As I was contemplating it, the boy came over to me. I tried telling him that it would kill him, but he didn't listen and took the sky anyways. I get out, getting ready to fight Atlas when he throws Zoe away, and hear the boy cry out," ZOEEEE!" And hear Zoe's cry of pain.

Timeskip Base of Mount Othrys

     As I landed my chariot, Perseus very carefully takes Zoe out and places her on the ground. I tried healing her with my magic, but it wasn't enough. I could feel her life force draining, and knew she could at most only live 3-4 hours more. Perseus was looking distraught and I could see that an idea was brewing in his head when he looked at me and said, " Would an Apple of Immortality help her heal?" I replied, "Yes, it would." He looked at me and told me to try and keep her alive, as he dashed back to the garden.

Third PoV Hesperides' Garden

     We see a boy running to face Ladon with raven black hair and sea-green eyes. He fought in the middle of a small hurricane ducking, slashing, and stabbing the heads as they came near him. Dodging as best as he could. He called on the sea since it was nearby, trying to heal himself to keep going. Just when he felt he was going to pass out from exhaustion, he saw that Landon wasn't attacking him anymore. We could see that Landon only had one head left and was bowing his head to the boy. The boy picked two apples and left.

The base of Mount Othrys Artemis PoV.

     As I was talking to Zoe and she was telling me about why she fell for Perseus. I couldn't stop myself from smiling as I listen to her. And I told her where Perseus went, and I could tell that Annabeth and Thalia were listening as well. I gave her my blessing to be with him if she survives. As I was about to start talking again, I see Perseus coming back injured and exhausted with two Apples, as he gives me them and falls onto the ground beside Zoe knocked out.

Olympus Percy PoV.

     I was listening to Zoe talk about her past hunts to me after leaving the throne room, with Thalia joining the hunt as their lieutenant. And then deciding I could live, along with them agreeing to save the Ophiotarous, I named Bessie. And when I thought about the talk Artemis had with me after the meeting, I shivered.

Flashback:

     As I was walking out of the throne room, Artemis told me to follow her. I followed her and we reached her garden, she turned around and said," If you ever break Zoe's heart I will castrate you." I paled and replied, " I would never, and besides. She would find out first, and I don't want to experience what would happen." She nodded and told me to go back to Zoe.

End Flashback

    As I thought about the future, I couldn't help but smile. Knowing that whatever I am going to go through, I can count on Zoe to stay by my side.

A/N: 991 words. As I said, I did this as a quick story for a school project and will be re-writing it as a two-shot or even as an actual story. Tell what you think, and I'm open to suggestions. What can I do better next time?
