Chapter 5:
An Awkward Breakfast

Void POV:
It was the next morning and I was just staring at the ceiling from my bed, I did not get a second of sleep last night. With the sun's light passing through the curtains, I sighed as I sat up from the bed and went into the bathroom. Taking a shower, brushing my teeth and changed my clothes.

As I exited the bathroom and I put on a mask covering the right side of my face just for the fun of it and walked towards the door, opened it, and headed into the hallways.

I did not have a single clue on where I'm supposed to go, this castle is too damn big for my poor mind. I tried to remember the route I took last night with with Alexander, hoping that I would pass through the dining hall while on the way.

I walked passed many large oak doors. The maids, butlers, servants and guards that I came across with all looked at me with confusion and fear. I didn't know why until I remembered that I had put myarmour on, I put it on for safety measures, not wanting to risk getting injured and having to clean it up. The armour isn't made from a metal from this land, I received it as a reward when I saved a rich merchant in the past. I mean you can't find a back metal with a bluish purple tint to it. I think the material is called "Memorysoil metal" probably.

I suddenly stopped when I heard some chatter coming from behind one of the double grand looking oak doors. Thinking that it was the others judging from the muffled voices, I opened the doors and entered to see the boys and the royal family talking. I smiled from beneath the mask, the boys seemed to fit in and looked so confused yet happy at the same time and that's all I've ever wanted for my kids, to be accepted.

No POV:
Void didn't want to disturb
them so they just sat silently next to their son Denis while still going unnoticed by everyone in the room. They sat there, quietly listening in into their conversation. “So, Fenis what do you think of your dad?” Drake asked and for once not being noisy. “Tim! You can't just ask that. It's rude! And it's parent, not dad.” Wincent scolded Drake. “Sorry. My bad Wince.” Drake rubbed his hair.

Fenis POV:
“What do you mean?” I questioned feeling confused, I didn't understand. “You know? Like what do you think of them? Are they nice? Can he- they be... scary? Strict? Cruel? Cold-hearted? Weird?” Timothy asked me curiously.

I didn't know why Timothy was asking me this. Did they find otets scary, cruel, cold-hearted, and weird? “Well they are kind, caring..” I couldn't say much more without saying what he (Timothy) said. Yes my parent could be scary, cruel, cold hearted, maybe a little bit strict when things are not going so well for us, and at a few times distanced, but I didn't know a lot about otets' past, just a few bedtime stories to remind me that it wasn't the best type of past to experience.

No POV:
“Ah I see.” Philip began joining in on the three boys. Void thought that this would be a good time to introduce themselves seeing as most of the conversation was about... well them. Vodka coughed making their presence well known to the others.

“U-umm how long have you been there?” Wincent nervously stuttered, afraid for the answer he might receive. Although even he himself had to admit that he would rather choose Vodka or Luka rather than Void, the two forms were much more approachable than this one. “I was here the whole time.” Void apathetically answered with no trace of emotion in their voice. “Oh.” Philip spoke awkwardly. Drake seriously looked like he was just about to pass out due to the large amount of embarrassment he was experiencing. Alex on the other hand just looked at Void not wanting to speak, fearing that if he did, it might make things much more awkward for all of them.

Denis scratched the back of his neck. Void looked at Alex, seeing that the prince was done eating they stood up from their chair. “Shall we head to training now Alexander?” They asked looking at Alex, still no signs of emotion detected in their voice. Alex nodded and stood up.

They began to make their way to the double oak doors when Denis realized he still had Void's now clean scythe stored after cleaning it last night. Otets he called out to his parent as he stood up, making his way over to Void who had turned around to face him. “Yes Denis?” Void questioned. “Here” Denis continued as he returned the cursed weapon to it's rightful owner, his parent.

“Thank you Denis, and to you as well Fenis for helping your brother out.” Void thanked as they took their weapon. They ruffled their sons hair I'll see you two later yeah? Have fun while I'm busy.” with that Void and Alexander left, making their way to the training grounds, leaving the rest to finish up their breakfast and calm the panicking Timothy (poor guy didn't even notice them).

Void POV:
Oh how I wish I had the motivation to do this but I just didn't have the energy to deal with it. Most of the time I would be most definitely enjoying this opportunity but unfortunately I haven't slept since...wait when was the last time I slept? I just had to hope that I don't collapse from all of this exhaustion in front of everyone. That would not be fun, I'd be vulnerable, I'd look weak which I definitely am not. Wait...when was the last time even I ate? I skipped breakfast this morning. Did I eat any food yesterday? No, definitely a no. I only drank a cup of coffee, I was too focused on watching and fighting a war. The day before? No I don't think so, I was too busy "observing" the 4 kingdoms. I made a mental reminder to myself to eat some food later, maybe even try to get some sleep tonight as well, Even if it's just for as short as an hour. But for now all I needed to focus on are these tasks at hand. Get through the day, I think I can do that, what's one more day? All I have to do is deal with more people than I have dealt with in a long time, while also having to some teach people who probably won't listen to me until I make them listen, which could actually be fun for me not so much for the others, they have no idea on what's going to hit them. Do they even know that I'll be training them from now on? Nahh probably not, they probably took a break after Philip spread the news. This is going to be quite entertaining.

Void and Alex made their way to the training grounds in a comfortable silence. Once they finally arrived, the knights were chatting amongst themselves, until Alex yelled a “line up”. With that, they ran to get in their proper lines with some falling on top of each other.
I couldn't help but put a hand over my mouth to keep myself from letting out a chuckle, I wouldn't dare show weakness to random strangers. I sighed 'This is going to be a long and tiring day.' I thought.

With that being said, Void changed back into Luka, feeling that it would not be as entertaining to them anymore if a knight or two would end up having a heart attack or passed out just because of seeing their appearance, they wanted the training to make them suffer, not something that they are going to be seeing and spending time with for quite a long time.

Bonus
In this bonus part, Void, Vodka, and Luka are different people and are siblings. Vodka was mostly the troublesome middle child, Void was like the parent being the eldest, and Luka being the child that was either being picked on or overprotected.

“You know I think that anybody under 6'9 can't be talking about fighting anyone. Like, what are you gonna do? Headbutt someone in the nipples?” Vodka (7'3) snickered. “I don't think you should be underestimating someone because of their height. I mean look at this guy.” Void (8'3) pointed at the one from below them. “Huh?” Vodka blinked. “*Insert cracking knuckles* Say goodbye to your precious fucking kneecaps asshole.” Luka (6'3) sneered. “Language Luka.” Void scolded.

A few moments later

A doctor sat in her chair. “So can any of you two explain why your brother here has two broken kneecaps?” she asked. “Accident.” The two immediately replied.

(So the wifi broke and we had to get a new one so I couldn't publish anything for a while. Sorry.)
