Chapter 2- Prey

Dipper pov

The last night, I successfully took fake pictures and dropped her off to her aunt safely. I covered my right hand's palm with a fingerless glove, same with the left hand so it wouldn't look weird.

Mabel came at 8 p.m. I asked her if something was wrong and she just replied with 'Gideon...'. Gideon is a snob who has a crush on her. They dated but Mabel broke up with him becuase he was a stalker.

It is Monday today and currently I am at the science class, waiting for it to start. I am wearing a blue hoodie with black jeans.

Finally, the bill rung and people came in, everyone sitting away from me. It was fine, I was used to it. The teacher came in minutes later.

"Alright everyone. We'll take an attendence. Is Bill Cipher here?"

We have the same class together!? How come I haven't noticed it before. Maybe becuase I have been sleeping every time? Maybe...

"Here!"

A boy said, coming in. It was Bill. He was panting, guessing he ran but still late.

"Alright, sit down"

He took a glance on every seat but the only vacant seat was next to me. So he sat down next to me. I gave out a huff, I didn't want to see him. So I didn't. I slept the whole class after my name was told for attendence.

Time skip

"Psst wake up!"

I heared a voice and when I opened my eyes I saw Bill's head just inches away from mine!

"What the-!"

I backed away, he backed away aswell.

"Sorry about erm... that. I just meant to wake you up y'know the lesson is over"

"Oh, yeah. Thank you"

I got up my seat and left for the next class leaving a confused Bill. I saw Mabel in the hall with her girl friends.

"Dipper! Wait- you are blushing!"

She cheered, so did her friends. My eyes widened, I didn't notice I was blushing and why was I!?

"It is nothing"

I said, praying she wouldn't tease me about it.

"It is not nothing! Tell me who was it?"

She asked with ethausim in her voice. The girls repeated 'Tell us! Tell us!'. Honestly it was driving me insane, it was just a mishap!

I was about to say something when I heared Bill behind me.

"Hey, do you think we could sit together in the lunch time?"

My blush faded away, I thought about it for a moment and then replied with a:

"I don't see why not"

It would be nice not sitting alone for once. He smiled then went away. I just hope it won't go bad.

"Woah was that Bill?"
Candy asked.

"Yeah?"
I replied, so what?

"The hottest boy just asked my bro-bro out!"

Mabel yelled, pinching my cheek. Everyone looked at us, activing my anxiety.

"Let go Mabel. I am asexsual anyways"

I said with a stern voice. She stopped pinching my cheeks with a sad pout. The bell rung.

Mabel and her friends went to their classes so I was by myself. It was a free- period for me. I could go to the library as usual.

"Dipper Pines! To the headteacher's room!"

When you are called to the headteach-
er's room, it is all for detention. But I haven't done anything wrong.

"Look! The nerd got detention!"

I heared Earl say, one of the bullies. He laughed as well the two boys next to him. I just passed through them, can't let it bother me.

I knocked twice and a dull voice said:

"Come in"

I opened the door and stepped inside. The headmaster raised his head from the magazine he was reading.

"Oh Mr. Pines take a seat"

I sat down to the chair in front of him. He began talking.

"We're imperessed about your knowledge in science. We want you to attend to the Science Competition this year, respenting our school. Would you accept?"

I was out of breath. It was an amazing competition and it was my dream to win it!

"Yes of course I do"

He dismissed me. The competition takes place on May 17 every year so I have approximately one week. Basically I have to create a project and present it to the juries. If I win, my future will be bright and I won't have to do assassinations anymore. I smiled at that thought. I don't like killing but it is a must to survive.

I had twenty minutes before the next lesson thence I went to the library. The school's library is not masassive but it is big to medium. What makes is better is that nobody comes here.

I sat down on a vacant chair and took out a book to read from my back-pack. It was a murder mystery. After 17 minutes I finished the book and I must say I was dissappointed. The killer was too obvious since the beggining.

The bell rung and I checked my schedule, I had P.E. now, the class I hate the most. Running is all we do.

Timeskip

I feel like I am dying. We ran for the whole lesson and my legs are killing me. Thankfully it is the lunch time so I can take a rest.

I went to the cafeteria and saw Bill. He already had bought food so I sat down across to him.

"Why hello pinetree"

"Pinetree?"

He pointed to my hat so I nod.

"Is there a specific reason you wanted to have lunch together?"
I asked.

"Nope"

"But you are a bully? Why would you hang out with me?"

"Basically, I am tired of this as*holes"

"Language"

"Hey, but it is true!"

He took a bite of his sandwich, making me realize we were just talking and not eating at all. I took out my lunch ,which was a salad, and started eating.

"You are vegetarian?"

"No?"

"Then why are you eating herbs?"

"..."

I ignored him and continued eating my salad which caused an awkward silence.

"So you got any hobbies or what?"

"I like reading books and- that's all I guess"

"Oh man! You are such a nerd"

"Whatever, what are yours?"

"Well I like taking a walk, being rich-"

"Being rich is not a hobby"

"In my dictionary it is"

I chuckled. Maybe he wasn't so bad afterall. I saw him smile too. I lost in his eyes, it was like the world has stopped and we were just alive. My phone rung, snapping me back to reality.

"Sorry. I have to look at this"

"Go ahead"

I turned on my phone and saw it was a message.

Target: Bill Cipher
Time: 2 weeks
Prize: 50,000$
