1st person POV:

It was another basic day. I got up and started getting ready for class. I went to put my phone in my bag when I saw a notification.

'google assistant/siri
Happy Birthday Y/N!'

Oh.

I had completely forgotten that it was my birthday. Well, not that it really mattered. I live far from my family now, in Seoul. It's not like I'm gonna celebrate it. Of course it'd be nice to have someone remember but I can live with it.

I put on my shoes and walked out of the dorm. My place was quite near campus so It only took about 10 minutes to get there.

I walked into my classroom to see the few friends I have all gathered together discussing something. Why on earth are ALL of them here? It's not even their class. They saw me walking up to them and just froze, before awkwardly stopping the conversation.

"...heyyy y/n how are you doing?" Chan asked. Suengmin and Jeongin took this chance to leave the classroom. "I'm doing well enough. But why are all of you gathered here??" I said, squinting in curiosity. "We..uhh... We were thinking of creating a song together! Yeah, since, you know, Chan, Changbin and I are 3racha." Jisung answered with an awkward laugh. I could see they were lying but didn't say anything, we're not THAT close after all.

They all breathed a sigh of relief. Minho then checked his wrist and said, "well, my class starts in a bit so I'll be leaving now, bye y/n."

"But you aren't wearing a watch-"

Nevermind. Right after Minho, everyone else started saying goodbye and leaving for their respective classes, leaving the Aussies and I.

I had a class right after this one. I bid goodbye to Chan and Felix before leaving the room. On my way to the other class, I saw Seungmin. He also saw me so I waved at him, he waved back with a smile. I went to my class and it was as the usual.

I had some time before my last class. I thought of going to the coffee shop near the University. I opened up my laptop and started finishing my work a bit. While working, my mind couldn't help but be pessimistic.

'I know I'm not that close with them as they are with each other, but why were they acting so odd?'

'wait, do they not like me?'

"Hello, mind if I sit next to you?" Someone asked. I looked up from my laptop to see a very pretty girl with her laptop. "Of course not, go ahead." I said, giving her a close eyed smile. "I'm Lia." She said. "I'm y/n." I replied.

We talked a bit and learned that we share a class. "Oh, my class is gonna start soon, I gotta now. Wanna exchange numbers?" I asked. "Sure!" She responded. We exchanged numbers and I made my way to my class.

By the time I was finished with all my classes and finished my work, it was about 5 pm. I groaned from soreness after sitting at my desk for the past 4 hours. I quickly made myself some food and sat on my bed, scrolling through social media.
