"Hey, Y/n you're doing it again" Hermione wishpered as she shook you.
Your eyes widened as you quickly looked at her, your face turning a crimson red colour. It was the third time you'd been caught daydreaming in class by Hermione this week. "Are you all right?", she quietly asked and you just nodded. As you looked around you saw everyone taking notes. Then you looked at Hermione's notebook as her hand flew over it taking even more notes.
Taking a quick look at your notebook you noticed that you hadn't written much, then you glanced at your watch and that is when you realized you had been daydreaming for half an hour. You looked at the board and began copying down the few notes that professor McGonagall hadn't yet erased.
You have always been a good student. You have worked hard and achieved excellent grades, you are intelligent and motivated, and you have always been a pleasure to have in class. Both you and Hermione have been on top of all your classes from the beginning. However, this year for you doesn't feel the same as before, you can't quite put your finger on it, but something feels different. You're still working hard and getting good grades, but it doesn't feel the same. You easily get distracted and think about other things or to be exact someone.
You knew you would have to ask Hermione for her notes after class. Normally that wouldn't be a problem since you two were best friends and you always enjoyed studying and helping each other, but this time was different. You could already hear her lecture about your absent mindedness and you knew she would like to know the reason behind it. Hermione knew you were hiding something from her and she tried to find out what it was by asking you multiple times. You managed to avoid answering most of her questions but you were sure this time wouldn't be as easy as before. She is very smart after all and she will eventually discover the truth.
The only person who knew was Theodore Nott, yes, among all the people you knew, you trusted Theo with your biggest secret, which not even Harry your brother knew yet. You never thought that you two could ever be friends, or even better best friends. Who knew that a Slytherin and a Gryffindor could get along so well? Everything started in your third year, professor McGonagall had asked you to help Theodore with a spell. That was an opportunity for both of you to get to know each other. Theodore thanked you for your help and asked if you would like to study with him in the library. Little did you know that you were about to embark on a magical journey of friendship, secrets and mischief.
You were currently in your sixth year, time passes quickly you thought, it's already March.
You were trying to convince yourself that you started liking a tall, sarcastic, black-haired wizard at the beginning of this year... Well let's be honest that was certainly a lie you have been telling yourself just because you couldn't believe this was happening to you. You've been in denial about your feelings for him, but it's time to face the truth: you're head over heels in love with him. You realized you were falling for him during your summer break. You've been spending endless nights thinking about him, how he walks, how he talks- gosh, his voice is so beautiful, addictive you could listen to him talking for hours and never get tired of him -that beautiful baritone voice... his enchanting midnight black eyes you could get lost staring at them and his cute smile you have only seen once during a conversation he and Minerva had.
Severus Snape is not the kind of wizard you're likely to fall for. He's gruff, he can often be unfair and he certainly does not take foolish people well. But there's something about him that you can't help but be drawn to. Maybe it's his sharp wit or his intelligence or maybe his whole mysterious dark vibe. Perhaps it's just the fact that he is so darn good looking. Whatever the reason, you find yourself increasingly attracted to him...
Yes, you were in love with the bat of the dungeons as everyone called him. It was crazy and you were aware of it, the man that hated you and your brother more than anything in the world. Now you knew one of the reasons the man hated you. The prank your father and Sirius pulled on him was definitely one of them. You will never forget what you saw that day during your occlumency lessons, but that wasn't the only thing you saw.
