At one moment, she was so tired that her legs couldn't carry her anymore. She closed her eyes as she sees the bubbles flying closer and closer. But surprisingly, the bubbles stopped right in front of her. "I won't kill you." said Serena, "You spared my life, and so will I. But this isn't the end, Raven... It will never be the end...".

Part 2:

Raven's eyes felt heavier as Serena slowly disappeared. And before she knew it, her body had hit the floor and all she could see was the darkness. "H- Hello?" she said. Her voice was echoing back to her as if she was in a tight space. Raven looked around. She it seemed like she was standing on nothing, and her surroundings were all pitch black. Raven could clearly see her hands and legs, but as far as her eye could see, her surroundings were all black. The marks on her body had also disappeared and so had the wounds.

Raven wandered around in the endless space for what seemed to be forever. She kept looking around for signs of life, or an escape route. "Raven..." said a weak voice. Out of reflex, she turned around and pulled out her dagger. On the other side of Raven's blade stood a woman. She was pale and thin, with the black circles under her eyes, it was very clear that she couldn't cause any harm to Raven. She slowly and cautiously lowered her dagger as she maintained eye contact with the woman in front of her. "How'd you know who I am?" asked Raven. The woman laughed a bit, "How could a mother forget her child's face?".

Raven's hand fell asleep and the dagger instantly dropped. However it didn't hit the floor, it was falling into the abyss of darkness. "You- You're my mom?" stuttered Raven and she took some steps backwards. The woman smiled.

"You have my body shape and hair. But your eyes came from your dad. Pfft..."

Raven shook her head in disbelief. "My mom's dead..." said Raven in a hushed tone, "S- she died because... because of me...". Raven's knees went weak, and she dropped down in a sobbing mess. "She died because of me..." Raven repeated. "Oh, no, no, darling... I never died... And never ever blame yourself for this!" comforted the woman. She bent down and lifted Raven's cheeks. Using her bone – thin hand, she wiped away Raven's tears and kissed her forehead. The love and affection from the mysterious woman felt so right that all of Raven's doubts washed away and she was sure that the woman she was looking at was indeed her mother.

"Raven, I am your mother. And I had never died. I... I suffer from something far worse..."

"F- far worse?"

"I am sealed. I am sealed in your ring."

"But how? The- the knights? Didn't they kill you? V- Vyn said you were killed for violating the rule..."

"They can't harm me... You see, as your father was busy battling the demons outside of the tent, I could feel more and more powerful demons were on their way. And I had to protect you! I sealed my power in the ring to protect you. But to use the sealing magic, one had to pay a heavy price. But I had no time left. So, I sealed my soul in the ring. It may look like I died, but my soul is still alive..."

Raven listened to her story carefully. Her mother was always watching over her... As long as she had her ring...

"Raven, listen. Serena, she possesses my sister's blood. And trust me, she is very, very powerful. But you can still defeat her. Not by yourself, but together. Remember this, water is the key to life, so water is also the key to death. Let your wings open up, and never forget that what you want needs a price."

Raven was baffled. What did it mean?! "Mom!" Raven reached her arm out. But her mother was gone! "MOM!" yelled Raven. She suddenly sat up and breathed heavily. "Raven!" exclaimed Vyn. Hector and Zane turned around and hugged Raven. "You're awake... Thank goodness!" sighed Zane. Her wounds were all bandaged. Raven looked around; she was in Zane's bedroom, on his bed. "H- how long?" asked Raven, supporting her head with her hand. "Not even a day. Just a couple of hours..." answered Hector.
