Unihemispheric Slow-Wave Sleep
Rank B ( Special Constitution)Individual is able to sleep with only half their brain. One half of the brain is in deep sleep, a form of non-rapid eye movement sleep and the eye corresponding to this half is closed while the other eye remains open. This can allow sleep to take place for the individual without putting themselves in any danger like when in bihemispheric slow-wave sleep. The individual is still capable of bihermispheric slow-wave sleep, they simply choose which form of sleep they wish to use.
