Virion Eralith's POV:

I have gone through a lot of emotions in my life, all of which have taught or informed me about the importance of being ready, organized, and proactive in any given circumstance. I oversaw the Second war against the Sapin kingdom's humans, a conflict that lasted long enough to foster animosity between the two kingdoms even after it was over. Nonetheless, despite their fighting for their people, I never harbored ill will toward them.

Alduin, my son and the king of Elenoir, harbored more hatred for people. He appeared to take our tradition very seriously while ruling Elenoir, thus he never had faith in people. In a few years, the kingdom was at peace once more as the battle was over, and Tessia Eralith, my grandchild, was born. She resembled both of her parents in terms of appearance, and because she was so weak at birth, I felt compelled to do everything in my ability to keep her safe.

As she grew older, the majority of the people approached her solely because of her status as the Princess of Elenoir, which caused her to become more distant from others and feel lonely. She found a friend in me despite being socially isolated, which made me incredibly glad for my child. I became her bulwark of protection because I never wanted her to suffer harm from anyone.

She and her parents had a minor argument, to which she attempted to respond by fleeing. As soon as I heard the news, we decided she should go somewhere where she regularly went to cool off. On that day, everything changed because Little One was not to be seen. This left Merial, Alduin, and I felt nothing but fear for our child's wellbeing. We found nothing even after conducting a search. I didn't want my worry—"Did she cross the boundaries to the Sapin?"—to come true.

My daughter-in-law was visibly nervous as I considered the circumstances surrounding my son, and tension could be seen in their features. A guard entered the room quickly and had a little anxious expression. The guard stepped forward and said in a worried voice, "Your majesties, R-Royal P-Portal was activated just now a few moments ago."

We moved as quickly as we could. My son and daughter-in-law were sobbing so hard that they almost fell over one another. I was pleased and joyful to see my child smiling and secure in front of me when we arrived at the royal doorway and noticed that royal guards were kneeling in front of her.

Yet the child, a human male of no more than four years old, with auburn hair that had some gold-colored string-like hair mixed in it and blue azure eyes with a little lavender hue mixed in them, astonished me more than Tessia's abrupt return. In addition to his attractiveness, the atmosphere around him seems to be waiting for his orders and gives off the impression that he is a monarch.

As I sought to inspect because I was curious, I discovered that he was already a mage. A 4-year-old child was a mage! In addition to that, I could also detect the will of a beast. Also, it was astounding to see the mana pouring into his body. The unexpected thing was that it seemed like mana was being absorbed and cleaning his core with each breath. But was that even conceivable? I could not help myself smirk as I realized how surprising this Brat was.

With all of these thoughts racing through my head, I saw the brat's expression. He was displaying a range of emotions, but the one that stood out the most was a sad smile as he watched the relationship between my daughter-in-law and the young child. Nothing can be inferred with absolute certainty from a person's appearance, but it appeared as though he missed these things or that he felt sad about them or the location. It's also possible that this was simply fate.

My son ordered the human brat to come with us and tell us about their experience as he released Tessia from his embrace. Tessia approaches the brat and takes his hand, pointing the way, before the brat can respond or nod. She took the brat's hand and began to walk with us into the hall.
