C h a p t e r T w o

(Still His PoV:)

A Little bit sad, that she went away, he goes to the gym for practice. As he arrives, everyone is already there and already full into training. He's late. ‚Shit, was I that much in my thoughts, that I missed the start of practice?' ‚I'm gonna get in trouble for this. Shit'

Trying to rush, he stumbles into his training clothes and runs from the locker room to the gym. He sees that they're having a small break and he goes up to the coach.

„I'm sorry that I am late, I had tutoring sessions and then I lost track of time. I'm sorry." he said to coach Sakakibara.

„It's alright, just don't come late again", he replies. Hyakuzawa is relived, that he didn't get in trouble by his coach, but his captain, well that's a different story.

Worried he slowly goes up to the captain Komaki and wants to start apologising, but Komaki interrupts him „Don't even start, just because you think your height is the only thing that matters, doesn't mean you can come late, your technique still sucks like hell."

‚Ouchh that hurt' but he doesn't say that. „I'm sorry it won't happen again" he says and looks worrying down at his captain.

„Wait after practice for me, we're going to have a little talk" ‚shit Shit SHIT' he thinks, ‚Im in trouble, in big trouble'. „Yes Senpai" he replies.

„Now go warm up, you already missed too much"

Later

„Now why did you come late?" the captain asks Hyakuzawa.

„Well I had tutoring sessions after class." he replies, „but I saw her walking home just before our practice started, so what did you do?"

‚oh mannnn why is he like this'

„ehmm I just lost track of time"

„doing what?"

„thinking?"

„what, you were thinking, better be a good reason, about what?"

„ehmm about ehm math?"

„yeah no that doesn't sound convincing at all, tell me the truth..."

„ok I was thinking about her! And now?"

„uhhhh is someone in love??? Awww our ‚little' well not so little first year is in love.."

„I'M NOT"

„Yeah yeah keep denying it, you are gonna realise it sooner or later."

„I'm not...."

While Hyakuzawa is walking home from an exhausting practice he is still thinking about the words from his captain. ‚Am I... in l o v e?'

‚No she is just my tutor, I can't be in love with her, she is a year older than me, she is on top of all classes, she is class president, she is perfect, I, no, impossible, it would never work out, but I mean, everyone kinda has a crush on her, so it's understandable if I do, right?, yeah. I mean it's just a stupid crush, And if it was, she would never like me, I'm just a stupid tall kid, I'm not special or anything!, and the height difference probably wouldn't be nice to her either so, No it's not possible'

‚But I think, no, I'm not?'

He got home, greeted his mother and went up to his room. He turned on his computer and opened google.

A m  I  i n  L o v e ? he tipped in the search bar and a test popped up.

He clicked on the first link and a button with the start word popped up.

He hesitated, ‚should I, it's just a test, probably not even reliable'

With a little bit anger at himself he closed his computer and stopped.

‚Im going in the shower'

Still with a bit wet hair, he laid himself on his bed, and thought for a second again about this quiz.

‚What can go wrong?' he thought an went to his desk to open his computer again.

He clicked on start and the first question popped up.

Without a lot of thinking he clicked on the first choice.

The second Question from twenty two popped up.

He carefully read the answers and clicked on:

The Next question was

He was quick to answer, because he never had a girlfriend or boyfriend before.

The next question was a bit difficult because it was a question if you are over your ex, but he doesn't have an ex so he clicked on the answer, which said, that he was over it.

One of the next questions was:

His immediate reaction was to (blush) and think ‚Yes, all the time, it's not normal anymore', so he clicked on the answer close to it.

After a few more questions and answers, he finally was on the last question, he was nervous, really nervous, but he had a premonition, his answers gave him a little shock, but he didn't want to freak out over nothing.

As he clicked on the last choice, he took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a second.
