After Brielle had finally finished the meeting with her teacher she was ordering a last mocha for the walk. Xavier was leaning on a light pole outside the cafe, waiting for her to walk out.
"Thanks again Xavier for helping me around, I have no idea how to repay you." Brielle looked at him awaiting a reply. He looks down at her then sighs, "Why not just pay me, you have the money to spare." Brielle looks at him, "Do you have a home?" He shakes his head and walks a bit faster, hanging his head in shame. "Well, that is how I repay you! You now live in the villa with me." Brielle holds her chin high and struts down the sidewalk. Xavier pauses and stares at her, " You hardly know me! How can you just force me to move in with you!?" Brielle stops and huffs a sigh, looking Xavier up and down. "At the least come for a meal and a shower! You are a filthy mess and I can't let you leave without a decent meal." Brielle stopped at the corner before the hill to the villa to find a Hummer waiting to take her up. A old man with a finely trimmed mustache stepped out of the Hummer to open the door for Brielle. "How was your lesson young miss?" The man asks Brielle as she steps beside him. "It's was okay. Best part of today was meeting Xavier," she points to him and smiles, "He is joining me for dinner. Get him some clean clothes as well please." Brielle and Xavier get in the car and settle in.
"Is no one alarmed by the fact you invited a complete stranger to your house; what will your parents think?"
Xavier was puzzled. Brielle looked down and spoke softly, "Oh, probably why is the dirt so cold, or why did they leave a young girl to run their estate?" Xavier stared at her, "your parents are dead? I'm sorry, if it makes you feel better I wish mine were." Brielle took a breath and smiled, " Negativity has never gotten anyone anywhere. Tonight we shall have fun and eat like the lords of olde!" Brielle puffed out her chest and put her hands on her hips. Xavier laughed at her, " Why would a rich kid want a street rat to eat with her?" Brielle simply pointed at the mansion they had just rode on and sighed, "That is why." They stepped out the car and headed up the stairs. Xavier took one step inside and was astonished. The inside was a wide open scheme allowing the space to look larger than what it looked on the outside. Brielle grabbed Xavier's hand and dragged him to what seemed like a guest room. The old man who drove the Hummer comes in with a finely folded stack of clothes. "Thanks Branson, you are my backbone," Brielle chimed. Branson left once again and came back with towels, wash clothes, soap, shampoo, and other shower essentials.
