CHAPTER 1
Windows shattered, blood everywhere, you there.
It started with a girl, looking out the window, and screaming all of the sudden, filling the boring classroom with shared almost-heart attacks. "Kyaaa! What the hell is that?! Ahh!!" She stumbled to the floor, her eyes looking dead, and her skin as pale as a ghost. The girl pointed and tried to back away from the window, screaming in horror.
"W-what's wrong..?" As the teacher of the classroom looked out the window, he stared in shock. He didn't dare utter a word.
Everyone in the classroom went out to see what the heck was going on, and everyone started panicking. "C-calm down everyone! It's nothing, I assure you, that thing won't come here!" He tried calming everyone, but his voice seemed terrified. He should calm himself down before the others.
I finally looked out the window, curious to see what I'd find. Through the window, there was a huge monster about the size of two stop signs stacked up. The monster was black, the glowing eyes searching with a murderous aura, the giant predator had the fur of night, and paws almost over one foot.
I don't care anymore. Sure, I do feel terrified, but what am I supposed to do? There is no way I'd survive that Hēi'àn de guàiwù. Isn't it funny? How little a human can do? Even the most powerful man, they'll eventually get crushed by some monster. By monster, it could be another of the same species. Mental pain could kill a human. Aren't we so weak compared to them?
Everyone runs away, stupid kids jump out the window, commiting suicide right on the spot, others climb out the window to try to escape, either they will fall, or they will get eaten by the Hēi'àn. Some other kids run to a room and lock themselves, get stuffed in lockers, or try to go to the school vents. Hours there might cause them to die of suffocation, starvation or thirst.
It was quicker than I expected, but an enormous cracking sound was heard from all corners of the building. I suppose it could be the door, or something made out of wood. Paranoia starts to fill the air.
"What if it was someone's skull?! Noo! I don't want to die!" a girl choked, sobbing.
No one spoke. What is there to say? The whole building shook. As the thunderous monster took its steps, every heartbeat got quicker, and we all feared we might just vomit it out.
Well, I guess it is time to hide, huh? I don't have much time left, plus just standing here in the middle of the classroom in shock is suicide. I have thought of suicide before. What does it feel like to die? Do people regret it soon after? Suicide doesn't solve anything, those idiots.
As my brain finally decides to move, I hide in a room for storing food that has been donated for us, and lock myself in. For extra protection, I move some of the food carts, and make a shelter for myself by hiding behind it.
I can feel the ground beneath me shake, and before I know it, it's faster and faster... It's running. Outside from where I am hiding, I can hear some people shriek in horror, while splashing sounds of blood follow soon after. Did the monster rip them apart? That's a horrendous image in my head right now.
"I.. Can. Smell. You."
I gasp, and quickly put my hand to my mouth to hold from any noise coming out louder. I feel the floor shake again, closer and closer by each second.
I close my eyes, embracing death with my arms wide open. A tear falls down and triples down my cheek, I put my hand to my heart. It's too fast.
Wood cracks, and a dark paw gripping fiercely to the edges of the object, proceeds to go through the metal door. Then, a kick is soon after heard and seen. The monster is in the room. Through the cracks from the crates, I see a terrifyingly huge creature, fur from head to toe, looking around to get a better sniff.
He then stops. And looks right at me. Did he see me? I hope not.. It'd be the death of me, literally.
The creature turns from a furry animal to a pale handsome young man, in about his early twenties, and then walks forward to where I am hiding. I close my eyes, this will probably be the last time I ever open them again.
