Shot | Dino & Hoshi | Seventeen

after a long days practice earned a protein drink turns into armed robbery and two dancers in the hospital. 

Chan and Soonyoung had just finished a long days worth of creating and practicing new choreo for their upcoming comeback and were finally heading back to the dorms at a late 11:08 pm. the members had been kind enough to make dinner later than usual so the group could all have a nice dinner together since it had been a while since everyone could make it home this early. 

the two dancers had decided that a stop at a passing convenience store to grab some protein shakes that they were talking about in one of their earlier breaks. 

a ding went off as the door opened and the pair walked in quietly chatting about their recent work on the choreo and how excited they were to show the others. they stood to the back of the small building, choosing out which flavor they wanted. 

"chan-ah should I get the strawberry one or the vanilla?" hoshi asked staring delicately at the two bottles. 

"mmm" he tapped his chin, "definitely the strawberry one" chan smiled as the older grabbed the pink bottle labeled strawberry and they walked to the line that held just two people before them. 

the man in the front was quick making the maknae thankful since he was begining to feel the tiredness in his limbs. 

"ah chanie!" Soonyoung gasped in surprise looking at the display of candy below the counter, "is that the chocolate bar Vernon has been looking for?" 

chan squatted down reading the blue rapper, "yeah I think it is" there was a hint of excitement that sprung to his voice, they could surprise the other with a candy he couldn't find anytime he looked. 

as chan reached out to grab the bar a gruff voice spoke, "give me all the money or this guy and his friend get it" it felt like his heart was going to leap out of his throat, I certainly didn't help that when the younger looked up he noticed that the scruffy guy was holding a gun at his hyung no less. 

"you there! don't you know anything!? hands up like your friend or he gets it" chan flinched but threw his hands in the air while also dropping the drink and candy bar to lay listlessly on the floor. 

chan felt frozen he wished more than anything to have been anywhere than this store at this moment in time. the guy was shifting, the man at the register was taking too long, what was taking him so long? 

the guy was getting restless, the cashier didnt seem like he minded if the man just killed him and his hyung. 

a ding at the door made the man jump his finger pulled the trigger and time just seemed to slow down, chan watched as the bullet went through his hyung. his ears rang from the noise or from shock he couldn't tell, all he knew was that his hyung, his Soonyoung was just shot. the cruel red bleeding through the white t-shirt he wore and the thick tan coat. 

Soonyoung stumbled back basically falling on the maknae who managed to catch him and lay him softly on the ground. 

"h-hyung? soo- Soonyoung?" chan hoshi's face was filled with shock, then it quickly morphed into pain and chan didn't know what to do. 

chan looked down to the older stomach where the source of the blood was. his hand quickly pressed down onto the opening crying as the sound of his hyungs pained cries reached his ears. 

"I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry hyung" chan cried out knowing he was the cause of the added pain, "where's the nearest hospital?!" chan cried out looking up to face the owner who looked upon the two with shock, "where!?" the desperation was oozing from his voice.
