I woke up, to be greeted by the light gray color of my room. With my back against the bed and my face up as my gaze locked on its regular spot on the ceiling. I laid there, besides my occasional blinking, I was unmoving. What was I waiting for? What was I thinking of? And who the heck am I talking to.
I peeled my eyes away from the ceiling and allowed it to wonder mindlessly around the familiar bedroom. Was it big? No. Was it small? Nope. It was good enough. My eyes wondered to my right, the curtain were dark blue in color and blended perfectly with the walls.
A beam of light manage to intrude and of all places it could shine , the ground, floor, bed ... but nooo, you wanna know what it chose...MY FACE, that's what! I groaned in frustration as I scooted more to the left of the bed. Just a little bit further.
I bit my lip, as my behind made contact with the floor, the rug was useless. I sat up with my legs stretched out before me, slightly bent by the knees as both my hands lied out behind me keeping me up. I had a clear view of the window and my bed, the two inventions I currently wish was never invented. I sat there and once again allowed my thoughts to leave me and my eyes wondered between the bed and the curtain.
Get up!Get up!!! A voice inside me snapped.
I merely sighed but didn't move.
Girl get that flat rear up this instant or else we gonna be seeing a lot of each other today, you and I both know I don't joke.
At that I snapped out of my little time out and realized that I had already began my walk towards the window that hid behind the curtain.
Rule 5, your inside voice knows best.
I brought my hands before me and closed my eyes, both hands held either sides of the curtain from the middle. As my hands parted in opposite directions the curtain opened up exposing the see-through curtain beneath. I felt the warm beams of the sun hit my face as I slowly opened my eyes. A bored expression on my face.
"Just, great."
As I walked away from the window, beyond annoyed that I was practically kicked out of bed, I made my way to the door. I walked pass two other doors before taking the stairs down to the ground floor of the two story house. I was walking towards the one thing on my mind as I arrived to the location. It stared at me and I stared back, a smile already forming on my face as I reached for it and held it in my hands.
"You are the love of my life, I love you so flippen much!"
Yes I'm obsessed with how it smells, looks, and makes me feel, after all coffee makes everything better.
"Who do you love so much?"
I jumped up at the sudden voice and ended up throwing my husband in the air, I watched it reach its peak before it started dropping. As it approached the ground my heart dropped, my eyes widen. I refused to blink for even a second.
Without a second though, I jumped towards it, once again landing on my behind as a yelp escape my mouth. My butt was in so much pain, but that pain increased as something hit my head, I closed my eyes as if that would somehow numb the pain.
"Really?" I groaned in pain, as my hands massaged my head an attempt to soothe the pain - key word ATTEMPT. I opened my eyes and stared at the only thing responsible for all my current pain.
" A human." I plainly stated.
The shameless being stayed fixed on its place. It stood with one leg forward, arms crossed and a bored expression.
"You do know that your a human too, right." I stared back, unimpressed by what was being implied, instead , I scoffed and held my head high, by high I mean Mount Everest high - or is Mount Kilimanjaro higher - none the less the tip of my nose could probably kiss the ceiling as my hands mindlessly searched for my coffee container.
I heard loud clicking sounds approaching me or was I approaching it?Naaaa its approaching you - we attract not the other way around.
Yeah, inside voice is right, just as the sound died down , my hand touched the cool surface of my container, my head snapped towards my hand and confirmed my findings I rushed to my feet and began preparing a cup. I began singing a song while making my cup.
"Two table spoon of coffee." , I sang, as I did just that, pouring it to the mix. Hey , what can I say, I'm a good example of the phrase 'Walk your talk.'
"Two WHAT!" , the loud shreak filled the air, next thing I know my husband is stolen from me.
"What's wrong?" , I asked , not even trying to hide my smile.
"What's wrong with you, it doesn't say TABLESPOON! It says teaspoon, TEA-FUDGEN-SPOON!" , The instruction was shoved in my face. How rude.
"Opps, I didn't see it ! " , I feigned knowledge, I mean I've been drinking this practically all my life.
"Its bold and in capital letters for Pete's sake!" . I bought my cup to my lips after haven recovered it and the heavenly smell hypnotized me. I couldn't contain my laughter as I stared into the eyes of death.
"Oh, does it now."
