"So what's up with Jordan lately." Emma beamed. Emma was Taylor's best friend in North Wood Hight School. Emma was nonstop talking about her and Jordan lately and frankly it was getting on her nerves. She wasn't going to not say she didn't have a thing with Jordan. Ever since he was at her locker every day and texting her all the time she couldn't pass it for anything less than a crush. It was true that she likes Jordan, he was striking with a face of angles and had light skin with golden hair that stood out like the sun and watery blue eyes. Jordan was Taylor's friend but she never thought she would actually like him like this before. Lots of girls liked him in her school and he knew it but didn't really seem to care. It wasn't like she didn't talk to him but he had suddenly started talking to her more frequently now and Taylor was actually starting to think that he could actually like her.
"Not much, but I've been thinking what we could wear to the dance on Saturday and I'll show it to you tonight." Said Taylor. This Saturday was their dance that was held every year and was the one thing every girl and guy talked about everyday leading up to it and after too. "That reminds me Tay, I can't go to the dance with you this year my mom making me go out to this trip to Washington for a business trip to be their for my dad."said Emma. "No way, that's not fair and you know it, can't you get out if it" pronounced Taylor. " I can't get out of it, and you know it Taylor." Glared Emma. At that Emma's phone rang. "Hello, yeah, On my way!" Emma clicked the phone off and told her that it was an emergency and her mom would freak if she didn't hurry home so with a wave Emma dashed off and Taylor was left with and empty feeling in her stomach. Taylor wasn't mad that Emma ran off or that she couldn't go with her to the dance but now she was forced to ask Jordan to the dance alone without any friend support if all fails. She was in the parking lot of North Woods Mall and was walking home after her shopping with Emma."Taylor!" Called her mom, Taylor's mom was a small women with light brown hair and green eyes. Taylor took most after her mom but she got the height of both her parents, by now she was about three inches taller than her mom. Her dad on the other hand was a broad shouldered man with coal black hair and a sharp jaw line, in some words he was handsome but he was also Taylor's dad. Taylor got her fathers hair and mother green eyes. " Yeah mom, what is it." Taylor yelled back.
"I need you to go get the boxes from the attic." Yelled to Taylor. She just ran up to the attic and grabbed the first box she saw, Taylor was halfway down the stairs and about to hand off the boxes to her mom when the box fell a part. Inside it was a jumbled mess of all the antiques, breakables, and a picture of seven teenagers standing around each other. Each one was very different in but they all seemed to be connected they wore gear type of clothing, Each the same color black. Then Taylor spotted out her mom. Her mother was young and right next to her was her dad tall with a dark mess of black hair, but the other people in the photo we're strangers to Taylor. On the side of the photo it said 1977. Taylor was about to ask her about the photo when she picked it up and walk away. "Okay then, I'll just leave now." Told her mother. Many things were going around in her mind. Taylor grabbed your bag and went out the door. In about three minutes she was at the corner of 91 1/2. Texted Emma saying she wanted to see her and then texted Jordan. He responded right away and said they'd meet at the Java Jones in ten.She walked in with a sweep of the smell of fresh brewed coffee and creamer. Java Jones was her usual coffee shop that she loved and spent her summer working there but today it didn't bring her the relief she usually felt when she came here. She ordered a normal coffee with creamer and sat down. Jordan walked in 10 minutes later than he said. He came in looking like he'd ran a mile and was flushed.
"Taylor, are you okay?" Said Jordan. Taylor was okay but she saw something. It was a blue beam and was coming from a van. A man wearing sunglasses and a dark trench coat walked in. He seemed proud but came right for Taylor. He held a laser a beamed it in Jordan's eyes and he fell over. Then she saw a red light and everything went black.
