AUTHOR'S P.O.V

She knew no-one, they moved to Busan from Daegu. Young, 3 yrs. old Nan was walking around the garden and the backyard of her new house. She walked to the front where her parents and her brother were shifting the things inside. She sat down on the bench and looked around only to get bored.

When she was about to call for her brother, she noticed a girl looking at her from the yard of the house next to theirs. The little girl looked like she was the same age as her. Nan got up from the bench and went to the cut, small fenced bushes. Both the girls stared at each other in shock. Well, you might think why they were shocked. The thing is, they both were shocked because they looked exactly like each other.

Nan was about to call for her parents but the other girl covered her mouth. She became quiet and then proceeded to talk with her. She pulled the girl's hand away from her mouth.

"Who are you?" Nan asked and crossed her hands in front of her. The other did the same and stared back with annoyance at how mean she sounded.

"I'm Annie, who are you now?" Annie, the other girl asked and glared at Nan telling her to proceed with her talking.

"I'm Min Nan. Dad told me that kids should introduce themselves with their last name. Why aren't you doing so?" Nan asked as she looked confused at the way of the girl's introduction.

"My Dad said the opposite, that's why." Annie replied and put her hand out for her to shake as she found it cute how Nan's face became pouty when she got confused.

The girls shook hands with each other and smiled. Just then, Nan's parents called for her and she ran back after telling Annie to wait there. Annie stopped her before she could go and gave her a small ring as first gift of their friendship. Nan smiled brightly and gave her the chain that she was wearing. Annie too happily accepted the gift and both the girls bid bye to each other.

What the girls didn't know was that there was much more to their lives. What their future held for them.

Only one person knew the whole truth behind their different lives.
