Third-person POV-
Three months had passed since the tragic accidental gas explosion that blasted the house of taehyung's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kim, and took away their lives with it. Well, that's what everyone thought when the next day after the fire the police investigated the cause, and not finding a single clue that would lead them to the killer if any, and also since almost everything was destroyed by fire with the couple's body being fully burned as it almost turned into ashes, it was declared that it was an unfortunate fire accident, which took away the heaviness that was on jisung when he realized after some time that how there was a possibility he could get caught but luckily didn't.
When taehyung got the news of his parent's death he was as if gone into a trance. He didn't knew how to react to the news of them. A part of him was broken and he felt like he could never mend the broken pieces together again while the other part of him wished to go back in time and save the event which caused him to be the orphan he's today. He felt devastated knowing how brutally they died such a painful death. He didn't think of what they had done to him or what pain they had caused him all he could think of was that he wants them back anyhow in his life again. He just kept forcing himself to not believe the painful reality and hoped for his parents to come back to him.
He shut down everyone for a week, even his husband wasn't able to bring him back from breaking into a broken doll. But when it was enough, jungkook took matters into his own. He couldn't let tae go into a state where there was just darkness around him. And so even though it pained him, he somehow took tae to the place where the fire took place at his parent's house and that's when tae completely broke down in his husband's arms, wailing like a child after seeing the condition of the once beautiful house which was now just burnt remnants, making taehyung realize the reality he was trying to avoid all this time.
Jungkook during these few months remained beside taehyung and helped him in all the ways possible to bring him back to his old self and not drown in just sadness of his parent's loss. And it proved his efforts worked when he saw tae going back to normal after almost two months. Yes, he was sad but now he wasn't shutting down his husband or anyone nor does he keep crying, grieving over their loss but keeping them in his heart as a precious position that would never be forgotten.
During all this time, jisung too tried his ways to woo tae and try his little tricks just to create some problem or the other between the happily married couple, so he can get an upper hand in making tae as his. But every time it was proven a waste when it only turned against him. Today too he had come all prepared to have a chance with his love as the deal of the company was a success and so an office party was held to celebrate the occasion.
He was seated on the stool of the small bar at the corner from where he could see everyone entering. The drinks were being served and his gaze was fixed on the entrance of the door, waiting for taehyung to arrive any moment as the alcohol traveled down his throat, giving a burning sensation but at the same, an addictive feeling with it.
A wide smile stretched on his lips when he saw the gorgeous male entering the party hall, but it went as soon as it came when he saw the one who was standing beside the pretty male, smiling at him as they entered together hand in hand inside the hall. He grits his teeth in irritation after seeing how the couple was immediately getting attention just as they entered and whispers were being exchanged around him of how lovely the husbands were looking together in the outfits that was simple yet looked so good on them that enhanced their overall look, making them look so powerful and the spotlight of the night.
