Claire's pov:

I walked inside my girlfriend's condo without knocking hoping that she'll be surprised that I visited her but instead I was greeted by my girlfriend making out with someone. "Babe, who is she?" the bitch said. I dropped the box of her favorite chocolate and flowers and I quickly left the room crying when I was stopped by my girlfriend who's soon be my ex-girlfriend because I am breaking up with her ass.

"Hon, this is not what it looks like." my girlfriend said while holding my arm.

"Let go of me! I'm not some stupid toy you can fool with and you can play with." I said trying to let go of her tight grip and yet she held it tightly and quickly let go when she realized that she was hurting me. "I'm so sor-" her sentence was cut by the bitch calling her name. "You know what, no need to explain. We're done." I said coldly trying to keep my cool. I walked home trying not to cry because I don't wanna look stupid in the middle of the street but the universe hates me and couldn't keep it anymore.

I closed the front door silently trying to hide my red puffy eyes from my uncle. My parents died when I was young and my Uncle Sam decided to keep me because he knew that the rest of my relatives are after my parents' money.

"Claire, are you home?" I heard my uncle's voice coming from the kitchen.

"Come help me here, please" he quickly added.

"I know you can hear me, now come here and I have something to tell you" he said when he didn't receive any response from me. I slowly walked my way to the kitchen because first of all I love my uncle and I can tell him everything and second of all, I can't say no to him because he was so nice for keeping me.

I leaned to the counter while watching him playing with the flour with his boyfriend Mike, and yes me and my uncle agree with one thing.. We're both gay.

"Why are your eyes red and puffy?" Mike said with an accent, my uncle quickly turned to face "oh my-" he quickly cleaned his hands and touched my cheeks, I couldn't help it anymore I burst out crying to my uncle's shoulder.

I calmed down and Mike offered me some orange juice. I like Mike. He knows me too well. "So..." I started and told them both what happened. "I told you she's not worth it" my uncle said trying to console me while Mike laughing his ass off "I told you Claire, if only you took my advice and dated someone el-" I cut him. "Yeah I know, I should've noticed her red flags." I looked down trying to stop my tears from dropping.

"Anyways I was about to tell you something.." Uncle Sam said.

"Is it a surprise?" I asked curiously.

"Could be..." Mike said.

"I wanna inform you that..." Uncle Sam paused and looked at Mike.

Oh shit this is bad, I thought to myself. "My business partner will be staying here for a while until she finds an apartment to live in."

"Oh, I'm okay with it as long as she's not staying in my room." I said that because they used the guest room as a storage room. I mean, it's not really a big deal for me to have someone over at our house as long as that person respects me and my space. "When will she be arriving though?" I asked so I could prepare myself and look presentable to my uncle's business partner.

"Tomorrow," Uncle Sam replied.

"Hon... she'll be staying in your room while we clean the storage room, and plus, she's hot." Mike added.

"Come on, Mike, she just broke up with her girlfriend," my uncle quickly added.

"My bad, my bad."

They continued on with whatever they were doing while I went upstairs to clean myself up. Although it hurts, I'm kind of happy that I'm finally free from a toxic relationship with my ex-girlfriend.

*The next day*

Today is Saturday, and I woke up early today, which is a miracle because I usually wake up around 11 a.m. and it's currently 8:23 a.m. I remembered that I would be sharing a room with someone, so I decided to clean my room instead of crying over a poop person. After cleaning, I took a shower to freshen up and put on my everyday outfit, which is black leggings, an oversized hoodie, and socks, of course, for my cold feet.

I went  to check what my uncle and Mike were doing. They're still in the process of cleaning the guest room, which would be hard because we need to buy furniture and paint the walls so it would be minimalist like our house theme. Our house isn't as large as that of every wealthy family in the movies, but it's adequate for the three of us. It's a two stories house. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 guest room, and 3 bathrooms upstairs, and enough space for the cozy living room, a fancy dining area, a showy kitchen with a pantry, and a music room for me to practice my piano and drumming skills.

"Hey guys, what's for breakfast?" I asked them as I leaned against the door frame of the guest room.

"We're ordering pancakes since me and your uncle are busy cleaning this mess." Mike replied.

"Sounds good, I'll order it!" I mentioned how much I appreciated Mike's response.

"Good, honey, my wallet is in the kitchen." Uncle Sam added, and I quickly went downstairs to get the card in his wallet and called the pancake house. I ordered the pancakes and waffles, and they said they would deliver it in 30 minutes, so I took my phone up and scrolled through TikTok. Time has passed, and someone has rung the doorbell. I thought it was the delivery guy, so I quickly ran to the front door. "Do you guys accept card-" I said and was internally shocked to see a woman in her mid-thirties with shining, wavy brown hair and hazel eyes. "Do you guys accept guests?" she said. She has this calm, attracting voice that left me speechless.
