The new kid

So basically Rasa is still alive in the book. It is more of a modern au obviously. Rasa was super abusive and so once Temari was 18 she moved out, next was Kankuro but he didn't move out he ran away when he was 17, then Gaara (he is 15) (I dunno the actual age gaps so shush) but we are gonna start off with what causes Gaara to snap and run away. Les go!

Gaara' s p.o.v:

My dad came into my room extremely drunk. He slapped me really hard and then kicked me. That'll leave a bruise. He then smashed an empty bottle on my head while I just sat there holding back tears since if I made any noise or cried I'd get worse. As soon as he left I FaceTimes kankuro.

"Hello? Gaara?"

"K-kankuro! Can-can I stay with you..?"

"What? Are you ok? Did that bitch do something!?"

I heard kankuro sigh before continuing.

"Yes gaara, you can stay. Pack up and I'll drive to you."

"Th-thank you K-kankuro."

I ended the call and started packing. My head hurt like hell but I ignored it. I packed the majority of my clothes, my money, my laptop, a picture of me, Temari, and Kankuro then zipped my backpack and waited for Kankuro.

After about an hour or so Kankuro texted me 'I'm here. Go to the back. I'll be expecting answers when you get in got it?"

I didn't answer and just jumped out the window. I landed on my feet and it hurt so goddamn bad. "Dammit.." I mumbled.

I shook it off and ran to Kankuro. I was still crying a little since my head hurt and now my leg. I wasn't even aware my head was bleeding until I sat in the car and Kankuro said "WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL? YOUR HEAD IS BLEEDING!"

"I-.."

"Gaara..tell me what happened"

I looked down while he started to leave.

"I was just in m-my room (add stuttering yourself whenever you think needed cause I'm lazy) and he came in drunk. He slapped me, then kicked me...and then slammed his bottle on my head."

"Oh my god..Gaara.... I'll enroll you into Konoha high tonight."

"Alright..."

Once we got there he got me cleaned up and showed me where I can sleep for now until he gets a room cleaned for me to have my own room.

"I'm going to go make dinner ok? Don't get into anything alright!"

"Ok.."

(My L.A teacher would be so mad since I'm not putting 5 spaces at the start of my paragraphs lmao. SORRY MRS. DOVE!)

I sat down and looked around while waiting. My eyes were kinda puffy and my nose was red still from crying but that's it really. (Also, he doesn't have that tattoo thing on his forehead and he has eyebrows.)

It's been awhile and then I get called down for dinner. I run down and start eating right after thanking Kankuro. (It's way better to read that to write istg-)

Time skip to Monday

"Time for school! Are you ready Gaara?"

"Yes!" I say then run down in black ripped jeans with a white long sleeved shirt and a red t-shirt on top.

"You look good, Gaara"

"Thanks. You too...ig"

"Wow."

"Haha"

"Anyways, you can have your breakfast in the car, we're late!"

"Wow. I'm going to have a nice first impression."
